You've been placed in Sakurai's shoes during the development of each previous game in the series. You now have to decide the roster of each game. Avoid cuts and clones as much as possible! All other games still get released regardless of what characters you include. For example, Kid Icarus Uprising still exists if you don't add pit in Brawl.

2. choose 12 characters for 64
3. 13 newcomers for Melee
4. 16 newcomers for Brawl
5. 12 newcomers for Smash 4
6. save image and post to the thread
7. rate others

Original 12 kept the exact same.

Melee Roster, Dr. Mario, Roy, Young Link, and Pichu swapped for Wario, Sonic, Lucas, and King Dedede. I assume this fits under the 13 for the rules even though Zelda + Sheik could be construed to make it 14.

Normal Brawl additions not put into Brawl, Geno replacing Snake and Villager being added in. Mewtwo once again replaced by Lucario.

Lucina kept as a Marth clone, the other 8 newcomers we already know that aren't Villager, adding Bandanna Dee, Sceptile, Marshal, and Shulk. Ivy and Squirtle get cut in replacement of later gen starters of the same time.

In Total: 3 cuts. All Pokemon. All spiritually succeeded.
