Definitely one techno song that can send chills down my spine on such short notice.

8.0/10.

Liked that melody at the beggining and the rest of it. Not my favorite band, but for what it was, I liked it.

And you're correct with that prediction.

And now for something different:
A JRPG song with Ian Gillan of Deep Purple fame as the vocalist.

That's a gr8 song. Lame, sure. Bad enough to be featured in Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, yeah.
8/10 for Barkley nostalgia.

So this song and video combine two of my favorite things. Brings back some wicked memories.

8/10 - Woulda been an 8.5 or 9 if it was the original instead of the Soulchild remix.

7/10 - It was OK, but not great; the fanfare was fairly repetitive and unoriginal but it works for the intents and purposes of a superhero show.

5/10 I actually can't stand Bon Jovi songs, sorry :urg: But he's obviously an amazing singer.

WOAH! I have never in my entire life heard anyone say that, very interesting. Well heck now I'm curious, does anyone else in this thread like the original more than the amazing delicious Soulchild remix?

9/10 I think I might like the original better =P Has a more Gorillaz sound. A bit harder with the deeper funky tones. The soulchild remix sounds a bit too poppy for my tastes

7/10 I've actually never been too much into the House sub-genre, and that one is good but it sounds generic and "cookie cutter"

Here's a throwback classic haha

9/10 I don't usually care for Rap, but dang that was good.
8.25/10 - The vocals are mediocre, drums are pretty good but just standard stuff, but I LOVE the guitar solo!

9/10. Great chill music, without being excessive or boring like other chill stuff can be.

5.5/10 - Pretty cool, but fairly repetitive, I don't like most music without and I feel like I would appreciate it more if I had more expensive listening devices than $5 earbuds.

7/10.

Alright song. I have heard it quite a few of times in the radio, not bad, but not my cup of tea.

9/10 - The only Puddle of Mudd song I ever heard was Blurry. Looks like I'll have to go back and listen to more of their music.

It's a classic, and hard for me to sing (had to practice a ton)

mine's a bit odd, but interesting rhythms and soundscapes

4/10 - I wish I would like this type of music, but after growing up with a combo of early-mid 2000s rock and my dad's classic rock, playing electric guitar for 4 years, playing trumpet for 6, and playing bass for 1.5-ish (I still actively play trumpet and bass), I find it difficult to listen to the sound of a majority of the music coming out today because I'm used to a different type of instrumentation (and different uses of instrumentation in some cases). There are still some bands that I like pumping out good stuff, but a lot of mainstream music has turned to autotuned garbage to cover up a lacking vocalist (a majority of pop for the past 5-10 years, extending back as far as 15), music that cannot be played live and show no actual proficiency with musical instruments (such as house and dubstep), and lyrics that have more expletives than meaning.

Sorry for the short rant, but I've been unhappy with the general state of the music industry since ~2009.

Strokes rock

No need for explanation if you don't want to. I can pretty much predict your scores when I post anything moderately electronic or EDM, so no offense should be taken. It's clear you're very much mainstream rock/alt. There is of course nothing wrong with that at all, it's a very popular genre for a reason. I also grew up in playing live music in school and out, drumline, jazz band, classical orchestra, mostly specializing in piano. I doubt much of that has anything to do with your very specific, narrow tastes though (we just like what we like). Not everyone can like everything or be super open to every genre. Me personally I just don't like lazy pop country or rap that has the N-word 100 times in a chorus, but everything else I'm pretty much game for.

7/10 This song sounds like a green Jolly Rancher tastes.

That's not necessarily a bad thing.

5/10.

Not horrible but not kind of music. I like it in a way because it sounds like something you can add as OST to oneself's life or for a nice walk in the park. (Montage too)

Yeah, do so. Their stuff after Blurry and Control is quite something. Is alright. Famous is one of my favorites, honestly.

Anyway, here:

8.5/10 nice, but definitely over-mastered, compressed, and EQ'ed.

ME 3 End Credits song - This is actually a song from 2009 called
Faunts - "Das Malefitz"

Was stuck in my head for a while

4/10.

So-so. Not my kind of music, but I can understand somewhat liking it, but not me.

9/10 That was actually really good. Love that type of music.
Awesome. Glad to know that someone around here likes the same kind of music in a way.

Anyway, I'll leave this here:
