Zombie/Hobby Specialist: Dr. Scarlet

Art by GameFAQ user hiddentrace

Overview

For those who do not know already, a new game title came out for the Street Pass plaza called Battleground Z. It's a simple yet fun beat'em up where the Miis use their hobby of choice to fight back against the rising zombie threat. Going through cities, suburbs, highways, and even graveyards to push back the zombies while saving survivors and gathering ingredients for a cure. Now who is is Dr. Scarlet? Well she is a scientist that becomes your sudden mission dispatcher once you wonder into the zombie apocalypse, setting up missions for the player to help survivors and find cell samples while back at her lab developing a cure to rid the zombie outbreak. Near the end you and Dr. Scarlet Team up at her father's lab to finish the cure using cell samples from previous bosses while dealing with the final zombie threat.

How would she fight?

With over 20 weaponized hobbies to work with ranging from paint kits, tablets, wiimotes, cameras, pop-up books, fishing rods, robo-pets etc. Dr. Scarlet has quite the arsenal to work with. And with such a variety of weapons she can differentiate herself with other hammer-space characters like the Villager or Bowser Jr.

Another idea is to have zombies pop up onto the battle field that she can use to toss at opponents or vice versa. Similar to Frank West in various capcom fighting games, if there is one or more players as Dr. Scarlet there would be zombies that would spawn that could either help of hinder players on the field. Zombies just wander around the screen and grab players on contact giving damage or players could attack/throw them to launch them at other players.

Moveset Ideas

PreedReve's Moveset:
*Note, I haven't collected all the weapons in-fame yet, so these are based off of weapons I've already collected or have seen online*

Neutral

Tablet: Dr. Scarlet brings out her tablet and slashes opponents with a hologram. The hologram does an initial slash attack and then sticks in front of Scarlet for 3 seconds, lightly damaging any enemy that steps into it. The can be repeated 2 more times before restarting. When used after Charged Attack, this move will drop a large parcel in front of Scarlet, damaging and meteor-smashing any enemy it hits, and leaves an item.

Side
Go-Kart: Dr Scarlet will dawn a go-kart costume and dash forward, damaging any enemy she collides with. Can be used up to 3 times. When used after Charged Attack, Scarlet will only do one long dash forward and do more damage to enemies.

Up
Formal Wear: Dr. Scarlet will spin upward, spinning enemies and reflecting projectiles. Can be used up to 3 times. When used after Charged Attack, this move cause Scarlet will do a spin and shoot upward, damaging any enemy that gets in the way, and float downward (the float effect can be canceled by hitting the down button).

Down
Charged Attack: Scarlet charges a meter that is above her for 3 seconds. Once charged, the next special move she uses will be different. Scarlet cannot move while charging but can store the charge by dodging or shielding.

Final Smash
Study: Dr. Scarlet will swipe at both sides of her with a giant pencil and teleport any enemy she hits into a classroom. She will begin to lecture and notice the fighters aren't paying attention and release a devastating lighting attack.

Why Should she join the SMASH?

With Street Pass being a ever growing feature on the 3DS it would make sense that there would be a rep from one of the many Street Pass games currently out. I think Dr. Scarlet would make the most reasonable choice out of all the other possible Street Pass game characters due to her both having a possible fighting moveset and implementing the customization features within the Street Pass Plaza with the hobby based weapons.

I support this. Battleground Z is a very interesting game and I wish it was free so more people would play it.

As for how Dr. Scarlet could play, her attacks and specials could be the various weapons and when they are held or used for smash attacks, they could be a charged attack.

Interesting moveset ideas so far. I hope more people will show some support and pitch in their own ideas for movesets. For now would you like your moveset in the OP?
