Yes, I know; there was already a thread from two years ago for ideas for a hypothetical Project X Zone 3, but I wanted to make a new one to try and spark a new interest (for a lack of a better term). The ideas I'm posting here are primarily inspired by the old "Fractured Bloodlines" thread from a while back, but I do make differences from that thread.

Any character is fair game (this includes PAC-MAN or Mappy, and IDK if Capcom has any Scrimblo Bimblo material besides Classic!Mega Man and Sir Arthur)

Unless it's called "Sonic the Hedgehog", then that's a red herring.

Thank you for saying that. I was straining myself trying to stick with realistic-designed humans, despite Peach being a solo unit in one of the other submissions.

As for that Sonic jab, I don't get it. What reason is there for Sonic to be a Capcom character? Even if it is sarcasm, I don't understand the joke.

The problem is that Capcom doesn't have a cartoonishly-designed character (bonus points if it's an anthropomorphic animal, plant or object) on their portfolio outside of the ones i have mentioned.

You guys know how Bayonetta was supposed to be in Project X Zone 2, but Kamiya said no only to regret it later? Let’s say she was in PxZ2. Which outcome would you guys prefer?

A). As part of a Pair Unit with Dante, with Vergil reduced to a Solo Unit (and an extra Pair Unit is added just to create an even 20 Pair Units and 20 Solo Units)
B). As part of a Pair Unit with Pit (and an extra Solo Unit is added just to create an even 20 Pair Units and 20 Solo Units)

Honestly, I would have preferred a Pair Unit with Pit. Maybe Palutena can be the extra Solo Unit.

Random thought: if Project X Zone 3 were to happen, how likely do you think it is that Monolith Soft will shift to 3D for relatively easier development, partially so they can re-use assets from other games?

That could potentially be as much of a paradigm shift for PXZ as Into the Spider-Verse was. Conversely, it's also a way we can add Sonic and Pac-Man to the franchise.
