I noticed that some people started in round 2 of the winners bracket. This was due to the weird number of people and not being worth it to do pools or something, right? Is that decided by RNG?

Also, what's up with the points listed there? Is it like a frequent flier thing?

Some people started in R2 because we had 42 players in a 64 man bracket. The software then generates byes so that there would be 22 additional byes so that the bracket could progress. It then gives byes to all the players starting at seed #1 and goes down until it needs to stop (seed 23). After that everyone as their technical R1 opponent.

The points next to you name indicate how much you've earned for the Smashboards Rankings system. I submit all our brackets to it so MI players earn higher rankings!

I got 13th, Which is my highest placement at a smash fest so far. I'm pretty happy with that and I feel like I'm improving a ton throughout the past few weeks. Gonna keep coming and I might be able to break into top 10 or 8 soon!
