Whats up guys, im steelguttey.
Most of you know me as the olimar player that does nothing but talk about this gimmicky character im playing. But what you guys dont know me as, is an olimar player that does nothing but talk about this gimmicky character im playing FROM LONG ISLAND. What I've noticed from watching smaller project m streams is people have good mechanics and stuff but aren't taught specific matchup stuff because they dont go on their character boards on smashboards and they have nobody in their community that plays their character. Lets take ROB as an example. Rob is a very matchup specific character and has alot of matchup specific things. Because of this, most people dont know their matchup with rob when people from outside of their town play them. So here I'm making a way for players from smaller communities get new views from their stream and publicity so people can teach them stuff.
Some things i want to point out before i start: if you like this idea, show your to's. Also, if you dont have a stream for your community, get one! This whole plan doesnt work if your community doesnt stream!
So, onto the plan. How this would work is if you want help learning your character or want more publicity in general, talk to me. Message me on reddit or smashboards and I'll add you to the list. You need to give me your tag, character, stream link, what days your tournaments are on, youtube channel where your vods are uploaded name (if available) and tournament times. I will add you to a list (which will be right down below) and thats it. Now if you want to learn a character, you go down to that list, see if theres any tournaments on and watch the stream!
This helps both ways. In one way, the player that is being publicized can learn from other people and get free publicity. The other way, the person that is watching can learn new stuff with his character. Most importantly, it helps people who are on non-popular streams! There are so many posts on reddit and smashboards of how project m is dying but if you dont want that to happen then watch streams! It helps more and more everyday!
TO's, if youre reading this and want to have your stream recognized, give me a list of ALL of your regulars, and ill put them here. remember to give me the same stuff as you would if you were a normal player (tag, character, stream link, what days your tournaments are on, youtube channel where your vods are uploaded name (if available) and tournament times)
