Playing against fox

So I know that Peach can beat fox in high level play based on Armada, but because I'm not a god I have issues with this match up hahah. I get wave shined a lot, up throw up aired and upsmashed. I know SDI would help, yet I'm unable to get the timing correct. Any tips for how you learned it? And short of booting up PAL, what should I do to fox to beat him in this match up? Thanks
