As far as the match goes, there were a whole lot of arrows (from both of you) at questionable ranges. if you feel the need to arrow, short hop arrows will cut a little bit of recovery off and keep you mobile and operating at a hopefully safe range. Otherwise, in my opinion, arrows are not a very good tool to rely on in neutral. They can be good to poke at someone who's really trying to zone you, but mostly they're a love tap to eat jumps off-stage and a combo extender on certain DI.

For edgeguards, more often than not, grabbing ledge and using an invincible move (or just holding ledge) is a lot more threatening than a bunch of arrows. Sometimes arrows are the more rewarding option, but that's usually against characters with more linear recoveries. Definitely depends a lot on matchup and situation.

Also, don't forget that you can press B again to end your glide early to grab ledge so thing at @8:50 doesn't happen. Very scary situation to put yourself in.
