• Running a region does not make you exempt from the rules. How would that be fair to everyone else that was banned for similar offenses?
  He should have understood the position he was in before doing something that we have zero-tolerance rules against.
  
• Denti was told what he should do to try to get unbanned by multiple people and he completely ignored all of it. If he learned his lesson and was serious about getting unbanned, he wouldn't have been evading it and doing stupid stuff like this.
  I specifically told him OVER AND OVER what he should be doing at HOBO 33 (?). I must have talked to him about it for over thirty minutes and went over the same points multiple times.

I agree with everyone who has said that denti shouldnt be allowed back. He did some STUPID stuff. And I mean STUPID stuff. I also agree that no one deserves special treatment because this that and the other. This is a pretty controversial topic. But WITH ALL THAT SAID, Denti, himself, is responsible, himself, for bringing a region together.....himself. So permaban and all, accounts and all, he needs to be brought back. Um, I'm pretty sure Denti is sorry... it's not like he killed someone or anything... he posted a picture that was deemed inappropriate. Guess what? I posted a picture that was inappropriate (WAY worse than what Denti posted, lmao), and got permabanned. 100 point infraction. I got unbanned. We aren't in the 2nd grade. I'm pretty sure if Denti was allowed back, he wouldn't do anything like this again. I know him personally. Yes, being the primary source of growth in his otherwise dying community shouldn't make him exempt, but my point still stands.

Uh why doesn't your city get off it's *** and have someone else step up to the plate? It's not hard to have someone organize some events. Here's a novel idea, why don't you just copy/paste Denti's events and rules into your own tourney threads? *gasp* who would have thought?!

If Denti really is the only saving grace to organize something in Fort Worth and the near by areas then that's just sad, once Xyro *stepped down* from being Houston's TO (even though he's still around and still does events here and there) Sync was right there to pick things up, and if he wouldn't have done it, I would have.

What I'm saying is, to say Denti is the only person to keep things running is just naive. Why don't you ask ALSM to get stuff going? He has plenty of FW rep and he's like Denti's best friend, obviously Denti could help him and so on.

That said and done, this thread's still cool.

It is possible to still post here though. HugS posted REAL porn ages ago and got banned but soon after that he created another HugS account and they allowed it. Maybe it was cause hes a melee legend or maybe it was cause u just cant sleep at night knowing u banned one of the greatest players in melee.

It would be easier, in the long run, to just unban the person who is already actively doing the work than for someone else to pick up where he left off. Once again, you're being very condescending to people just because we want to back up our friend and ask you to unban him. I've already considered your suggestion, but the fact of the matter is that I personally don't have time to dedicate to be able to do that. I would love to organize these things myself, but I have neither the time nor the motivation nor the connections to do so. Unbanning Denti would be a simple, elegant solution to our current situation which will, in the long run, provide more benefits to our community than trying to rally everyone behind a new community leader.

Not all of us have the time or patience to do so. I'm happy that your community had multiple options to cover the gap when the major TO and supporter stepped down, but ours just doesn't have that type of backing. We're largely a community of people who like to sit down and play the game rather than try and organize events and Denti is the only one of us with the motivation and connections that I mentioned before. It would be plain-and-simple easier for everyone in our community if his ban was lifted.

Sergio (ALSM) has a lot going on in his personal life at any given time and doesn't have the time or capability to take over those responsibilities.

Spell this out for me - Why is it such a problem to unban Denti? It's the easiest, most efficient solution to every concern we have up here as a community and we have multiple people backing up the request to lift his ban. This is the most obvious way to handle the situation, yet the moderator group won't budge.

So, to repeat this - Please spell out the reason for why Denti will not have his ban lifted when lifting the ban would be an easy solution, is backed up by active and knowledgeable players in the community, and will also provide a huge asset to the local community.

Anyway, you are so hung up on processes and rules that don't change.
Of course the rules don't change. And they don't in real life either. But pardons exist in real life.
And Dustin is definitely deserving of a pardon in my opinion.
The Smash community is less without his work. I don't know why the people in charge won't recognize that FACT and do what is just convenient and FAIR for everyone.
