8/29. i became very busy that day so it is likely i will not be there majority of the tournament, i'm sorry. but i still want the norcal smash community to have a tournament. i am able to set up and possibly do sign ups but i will not be able to run doubles or singles. therefore if someone doesn't mind the TOs may need to use whoever's laptop to run this tournament. people who i would like to step in and play a bigger role in my absence are phil, lucien, pocky and for brandon to call matches, since he did an amazing job with that at cgc 20.
i will be talking to the manager about you guys being in the top room of fuddruckers without me there. i'm also going to talk to him about the possibility of there being no venue fee, but if it is a slow day for fudds and they DO need us to pick up some slack i'll have him call me and i'll pay out of pocket. max amount he's wanted from me is 40 bucks, but this all doesn't need to happen if you guys buy food!
hope there is no confusion.

losing money hosting a tournament is not the business (example: me with gsg and onski with r3)
so you guys buying food it's nice because ya boy did get the venue.
also i'd like to know who is guaranteed to be there and willing to bring a laptop? i'd like to get this sorted out soon. i know brandon has tio on his laptop but that's a recording set up so i'd rather not ask him.

there's absolutely zero reason you should take a loss unless it was poor planning on your part, and since you are already aware of the expenses you might occur, you have plenty of time to address it properly (charge the venue fee)
frankly, it's nothing anyway; many of us pay more in transportation costs getting to the venue than for entry fee
