Online Input Lag: Will this problem never stop?

I'm literally playing right next to my internet router. I have a good connection. I've played other games like Mario Kart 7 with no input lag whatsoever. Nevertheless, the input lag in Smash 4 that I get is really bad. It makes trying to hit the other player a guessing game.

Is there anyone who can say they've had a completely lagless For Glory experience? Where it essentially plays like offline mode during a match? Or am I expecting too much from the 3DS?

Yes, I have plenty. If you never have lagless matches, it's probably your connection that sucks and you need to get offline.
