Had a blast at this tourney! Nice to meet all the Texas peeps. Thank Xyro for hosting this tournament! there was a huge amount of people! Wish it would have moved a little faster; but maybe that will be improvements for the next TGC tournament series.

BC - thanks for teaming with me. Hard to find a good partner when you don't know anyone. I'd say we did pretty well for not even knowing what each other looked like. Way to stock tank for us in teams!

DJ Fliphop - nice meeting you dude! Deff a real chill dude, too bad we couldn't get any matches in, but oh well. Maybe next time I come to Texas.

MJG - always a true blessing to see you dude. Congrats on winning doubles! Midwestboyz You got some mad bowling skill! See you at Warehouse!

Trela + Grimturtle - congrats on 3rd. You guys are both individually great players and it showed it double. Outclassing us for sure. Grim, you got some killer instincts wih those smash kills. trela, it was nice talkig to you for a bit afterwards!

Dojo + Cake - really great games with you guys! If we would have played a longer set, you guys probably could have won. I know Dojo was getting better reads on me towards the end.

Digital space + whispy - you guys played really well but had big mistakes that costed you the set. It happens at tourneys all the time, just be sure to not make the same ones next time!

Espy + megafox - you guys had some great team chemistry. No wonder you guys are currently the best team in Texas! Very great grand finals matches! Props for whipping out lil Mac.

Jerm + Tesh - you guys are great players! Just a few bad matches against us though.

Brad + mike effect - great doubles ditto! Hopefully you guys learn a few from our matches. A tip to the ness player, don't ALWAYS jump out of the stage to edge guard. It becomes dangerous territories and great players will pick up on that.


Tony Parker + Manu - great matches against you guys. Although you guys were our 1st match, you guys were one of our toughest match.

Tallman - sorry for those anticlimactic ness ditties. At least you'll know what to do next time you fight nesses!

Gnes - great shulk man! I was catching on to your habits towards the end but it was a little too late. It was nice playing you in person, you are a cool dude! Thanks for knocking me out of winners. Cause I don't even know if I could have stayed for the whole thing!

Shaky - your ness is amazing. You had a grand finals match where you took all 6 stocks. Teach me the waysss. Also nice meeting you!

Congrats to the top 16 who all did better than me.

Fliphop - I tore through all the other diddy kongs I played but I've still never been able to take a game off you man. I'm getting better so that won't be true for long. Grats on top 5!

Espy - First time I've ever played against sonic and now I know why he's good. I could tell you were a really experienced player by the way you would engineer unfavorable situations for me. I felt like I kept the games close and I know what I did wrong so watch out next time.

Nicole - Thanks for the money match and friendlies! I don't think there are any good ZSS players in Houston so it was definitely a treat to play against a good one. Glad you could make it down.

Bluebird - Props on tearing through losers bracket and not letting the slip ups in our match affect your play negatively later.

MPH -Looks like you've improved a lot since the tournament at my house. Glad to see my advice on changing mains to Rosalina has been beneficial...even if I do hate that character.

Trela - Thanks for the friendlies! Even though we only played 5 or 6 games I felt like I learned a lot and upped my level of play. I'd like to practice more with you man.

Slush - Grats on knocking me out of the tournament. You're the only good Yoshi I'd ever played and you were going for some nutty spikes. Respect. I thought it was funny when I banned WuHu Island and you didn't even know that was legal haha. The first time I got cheesed on kongo jungle was by DK, and Yoshi on that stage was also gross...don't expect to ever play me on that stage again. WP though!

Thank you Gnes, Nicole, Trela and Tesh for giving me advice when I asked. Hopefully I can return the favor when I'm a little more experienced.

I ended up placing 17th-24th so I was pretty disappointed. I wanted top eight. I want to get first. It'll happen.

Grim - respect for playing the character you like and sticking it out. Falcon is gonna have to work hard and sometimes just work harder than his opponent to win. Is that the life you choose?
Slush - Shoutouts to your SA cheerleaders squad acting like every f-air spike would kill villager
KJ - I wish Marth was better, even so your marth is actually very scary. I had already given up game 2 and was thinking about my counterpick for game 3. Both times we've played your sonic has SD'd against me giving me the win
Gnes - I was morally defeated about the time when were called to play, due to all the waiting around, and not caring due to already placing in doubles. Our set gave me the momentum and rejuvenation to keep going and get to top 8. Also shoutouts to making me laugh everytime u mention the GOAT
Karna - good job carrying Krebs in doubles. lol jk he's very solid in dubs. I know how determined you are and I respect that.
Xyro - I like the beard. PLAY A BETTER CHARACTER. Fun event

Almost all of SA make top 16.
Nike amazing as always with the last minute carpool to help some others.
Xyro's beard emerges for the first time in awhile to bring out the true lesbian in him.
First time I hold the fate of SA's seeding and I do a terrible job for Mindless but compensate for remembering HM not even being in singles. Boo me still.
Houston still fun to hang with even during the 4+ hour gauntlet of waiting for just round 2 of winners.
Thinly veiled Smash 4 tournament by it actually being a Monster Hunter 4 meet up. 20+ 3DS's playing it lol

Despite there being like 500 open set ups and the bracket running at the pace of Ganon this tournament was still fun.
Shoutouts to Zori and Flip for beating me. Peach won't work lol, Nicole's 100% right when it comes down to dropping her. Not my style, too slow.

Should have gotten better sleep but this was a learning process. Either going to not attend stuff seriously until customs are legalized (Palutena) or go full throttle Pikachu until I reach the top because I feel as though the pressure game is possible for me to still have fun with that character (despite Diddy's oppression and some really campy characters).

I didn't have fun playing at this tournament at all. EVERY SINGLE set was boring and tedious beyond what I thought was even measurable but I can't blame the players for either abusing their characters or the game's mechanics lol. However, I did have fun hanging out with all you guys!!

More shoutouts to Onion, Nicole, MJG, Shaky (PH3 represent! I knew you'd win doubles and take at least 2nd in singles - that Pikachu is what I strive to amount to and then surpass) and pretty much everyone lol. All of y'all are so cool, tons of love to everyone in Smash. Hopefully I get to know more of the new players a bit better, I had some fun money matches!!

Xyro, why was the food menu never posted before the tournament? I know ABDK was planning to make the menu look all nice but it never came out. The prices of the food/drinks were ridiculously marked up, and knowing that most of the smashers are teenagers/college students, dropping 15 dollars for burgers/fries/drink is pretty harsh. That plus the fact there was no outside food or drinks, put many of the smashers in a bind.
