What is the CLASH Suite @ Evo 2013?
CLASH Tournaments is bringing you everything you want to see from Evo that you may otherwise not get to see. This is the biggest Melee tournament of all time, and in a roughly 700 person bracket, many matchups are bound to be missed. This is no holds barred, the event from the community - for the community. The players and commentators YOU all want to see. This will be an invite only event Friday and Saturday night after Evo is over each day, taking place in the same hotel as Evo itself. These players will be able to meet here to practice with each other, all commentated by the best.

Videos videos videos! Watching the live stream isn't the only way you can benefit from the CLASH Suite, because I aim to upload every single match/set played on the stream. Not just matches, but also interviews, special guest appearances, funny moments, and more! All uploaded videos may be viewed at http://youtube.com/clashtournaments when they are ready. Subscribe now to know when they go up! I expect to start uploading videos on Monday when I arrive back from my flight. If anything super monumental happens I'll try to upload it immediately.
There will be another classic CT Controller Giveaway done this weekend on stream. Same as the past events, $1 donated to CT gives you one entry. Can donate multiple times for a greater chance to win. I also now have subscriber status on Twitch, and subscribers can get extra giveaway entries for free. Full details for this will be posted during the event. The winner (randomly chosen) received a brand new in box White GameCube Controller imported from Japan, signed by all of the attendees of the CLASH Suite. For anyone who hasn't seen my controller giveaways before, I'll post a picture of one of our previous ones a little later. Donations are really appreciated for this! I paid for the entire flight and hotel room out of pocket to help bring this amazing action to all of you!

Q: Where is this located?
A: This is located in a hotel room in the same venue as Evo - The Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Q: When is the event?
A: Friday and Saturday nights of Evo 2013 weekend. I do not have an exact time yet, but will let everyone know as soon as I do. I may not have an exact time until the day before Evo, based on the judges meeting. I'm also a judge at the event, so I need to find out about any after event work that needs to be done each day. I would expect it to start at around 10-11pm PST, and lasting for about 6 hours each night. Unfortunately this means it is very late/early for any East Coast viewers, but it's VERY worth it! I may also have a special bonus stream Thursday night, but if I do it will be with very few people and little or no commentators. Friday and Saturday is where the real action is.
Q: When will x player be at the event?
A: Not every single player will be there all at the same time. Everyone wants to do a variety of things at Evo, and I respect that. I also don't know if I can fit every single person in the room at the same time! As such, this is more planned to be, when the CLASH Suite is open and if you're on the invitee list, you're welcome in. Some players have expressed to me that they will be spending time there enjoying things in Vegas, so they will make an appearance over the weekend for some matches, but won't be there the entire time 100%. Same goes with commentators. Regardless, we'll still get in the matches YOU want to see!
Q: What if the players will be stuck playing on laggy TVs? It's a hotel after all...
A: Nope! There will be two setups in the room running on standard definition tube TVs. One will be on stream, the other will give other players something to do while waiting for their turn on the stream setup. Super big shoutouts to Mr. Wizard and Aisight assisting me on getting these TVs, since I'm sort of flying in from the East Coast lol.
Q: What kind of internet are you going to run the stream on?
A: I have a legit Verizon 4G data plan with no data limits or caps. Vegas is a huge city, so I'm expecting a quality cell signal too, so it should run fine. Since it is 4G though, it is potentially prone to some drops, but in a good signal in a big city it's typically fine. With a good signal this will all still be streamed in HD on a decent bitrate. For comparison, all of WHOBO 5, and the finals day of Zenith 2013 were all streamed on my 4G, among many many other tournaments I've done (those are just two examples of big nationals that went off without a hitch). I've done multiple tournaments that didn't drop a single frame of video off an entire day of streaming on my 4G.

A: Spread the stream! Make sure EVERYONE knows about this! Any fan of Melee, Smash, fighting games, or video games in general should love this. Q: What else besides the best matches are going to be here?
A: I'm going to work on getting some awesome interviews for all of you guys, and I'm also getting some things like special guests to entertain you as well. At the time of this writing I have Trihex confirmed to make an appearance (super big shoutouts to his work with the Melee Spiritbomb, and work with Smash in general!), and I hope to get others as well! Also lets not forget, this is Evo in Las Vegas! Maybe we'll see some side betting action going on, maybe I'll provide my commentators with some classy mix drinks to enjoy themselves while watching the matches, anything is possible!
