1. It was expected that a lot of people would place ZSS in top tier because of Apex Results. IT WAS SALEM, NOT ZSS. The fact that Salem dominated the competition, doesn't really make ZSS a better character.
2. I believe that Doubles should also be considered into making a tier list. For example, A lot of people putting Wario really low compared to Falco, Diddy Kong, Snake; Wario is one of the best characters in this game, his mayor flaw would be the grab release, but that's a balance thing, besides the fact that a good Wario player would be really hard to even grab.
3. There's no individual Shiek/Zelda. Not using the ability to transform, and all the abilities of the other side of the character, is mere negligence; like using Diddy w/o bananas, ICs w/o grabs, etc. As Sheik is one of Zelda's greatest strenghts and vice versa.

To me MUs are more important than tournament results when making a tier list. Tournament results should guide you into making a tier list and nothing else imo (well kinda). I split PT into Squirtle, Ivy and Zard too in case of but ignore it, really. Shielda was foolish thank goodness you realized it, and thanks for listening to the community for once when deciding the next tier list - now Europe etc. has a chance to contribute more as well. Only let-down is you can't distinguish noobs from players that have the real potential if that even matters.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the deadline for this project is sometime on Monday, April 15th, 2013.

I suggest everyone go over your own votes and make sure you didn't accidentally mess up somewhere, like moving characters more than 9 places from their last tier position in V7, or tying character placements, or missing characters altogether, etc... I've already notified a few people about discrepancies with their votes, but I can't say I've spotted all the mistakes, so if you'd like to help me, I'd be very appreciated!

As always, please PM me when you make changes to your votes so I can update them accordingly in my computer. If you forget (which I hope you won't, it'll make my job easier if you PM me!), rest easy knowing that once I close this thread, I will recount all votes to make sure I didn't mess up somewhere. Once the thread is closed, no editing of votes can take place! So if you PM me your changes after the thread's closed, it will not count! Same with the errors in your votes, once I start tallying votes, I don't want to start re-counting votes simply because you were too lazy to fix it before the deadline! That's the price you'll pay for procrastination.

I'll post the tallied version for everyone to see as well, and for everyone to compare to the BBR Tier List V8 when it comes out. Thanks for your time!
