The Summary
KoK returns with the next installment of Kingsville's premiere Smash series, We Hate Grown-Ups 12! WHGU12, special Halloween edition, will feature Smash 4 and Melee, bringing the best players from all over South Texas, including the RGV, Corpus Christi and hopefully even further. There will be singles, doubles and a crew battle against an opponent TBD.
This event will be sponsored by TAMU-K's very own Gamerz Elite! Big shoutouts to them securing us an awesome venue allowing for lower prices and more room for other games and side tourneys!
This means that if there is enough interest for other games like P:M and Brawl, we'll have no problem hosting an event!
Gamerz Elite will also be putting on a costume contest for the event. Free to enter and prize TBD.

The Times
Doors open and sign-ups start at 10am for all tournaments.
Smash 4 and Melee singles will begin at 12pm, doubles and side events will start when singles is winding down around 5pm.
The Location
The tourney will be located on the second floor of the Memorial Student Union Building, room 219C at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The building is located on the corner of Santa Gertrudis and University Blvd. Contact for any questions or directions.
There is a Subway, a Mexican restaurant, and a pizza just a 10 minute walk from the venue as well as plenty of vending machines to satisfy your foody needs.
The Pricing
Venue Fee: $3
Smash Wii U Singles: $10
Melee Singles: $5
Doubles: $10 (total per team)
Crew Battle: To Be Agreed Upon
If someone brings a full set-up for either Melee or Smash 4, venue fee will be discounted to only $1!
The Payouts
Payouts for both games and all events will be as follows:
32 or fewer entrants:
1st: 60%
2nd: 30%
3rd: 10%
33-64 entrants:
1st: 55%
2nd: 30%
3rd: 10%
4th: 5%
65+:
1st: 50%
2nd: 30%
3rd: 10%
4th: 5%
5th: 2.5% each
The General Rules:
-Absolutely no drinking or smoking
-Behave yourselves
-Don't be an idiot
-TO reserves the right to kick anyone out
-No harassing students and all that that goes with not being a turd
Smash 4 Rules:
Smash 4 will be using the same rules as TGC found here
with a couple of exceptions:
-time limit will be 8 minutes
-Dreamland will be a starter stage
-Lylat Cruise will be a counterpick
Melee Rules
Melee will be using the 2012 official MBR ruleset:
