This event features Singles Double Elimination tournaments for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Project M.
We invite you to the beautiful city of Hot Springs National Park for an entire day of Smash this fall. Enjoy the wonderful weather our city has to offer in October, with glorious scenic views of nature, historic downtown Hot Springs, delicious restaurants, and a healthy gaming scene ready to put their money where their mouths are.
The event will be hosted at the Austin Hotel, located right in the heart of the city next to the Convention Center. The hotel has approved a special discounted rate should you stay under the name "Spa City Smash League." The event will be advertised as much as possible via newspaper and Internet. Your word of mouth is the most important thing, however. We desire to help the Arkansas Smash scene grow to heights it has never seen before. Together, we will succeed.

Pot Bonus

The bonus prize pot is currently at $300, and we expect it to increase greatly as we add sponsors.^^^
The final bonus pot will be split evenly among all three games.

Rules

All games:
-Players are expected to bring their own controllers.
-All tournaments are double elimination. All games will be best 2 of 3, until Winners and Losers Finals, and Grand Finals, which are best 3 of 5.
-When characters are chosen, a player may make choices doubleblind by request.
-Players can either use stage striking or agree to go with a random neutral stage for the first match. The winning player then bans a stage. The loser picks a stage. The winning play may then change characters. Then the losing player may change characters.
-Pausing during a match, at the discretion of the other player, will result in the loss of one stock for the player who pressed the pause button.
-If time runs out, the person with the highest number of stocks left wins. If the players have the same number of stocks when time runs out then the player with the lower % is awarded the victory. If the % is equal as well, play a 1 stock 3 minute match, same characters and stage.
-Both players may agree to any rule or stage outside of the tournament ruleset, but this does not include extending time limit between games.

Rules of Conduct

By entering the venue, all players consent to the possibility of having their matches recorded and streamed. The TO is granted license to use any likenesses, footage, video, or photographs of you or your play sessions from the event, and you have no claim for compensation from this.
-No refunds for any tournaments are allowed. No exceptions. The judgment of a TO is final in the event of any unforeseen complications or issues.
-No drugs, weapons, or other illegal substances are allowed inside the hotel. No physical altercations with other players or damage to any property or equipment of the venue, T.O.s, or players will be tolerated. Security will be on site.
-Mark any equipment, controllers, games, or other property clearly to its owner. Any theft will result in instant disqualification.
-Be at the appropriate station within five minutes of being called, otherwise it counts as a loss for the set. T.O.s will make every effort to ensure that announcements are made loud and clear for all players to hear.
-Players are expected to be respectful to the fellow players, all hotel staff, tournament organizers, assistants, streamers, and any and all equipment at the event. Complaints of excessive profanity, discriminatory abuse towards others, unwarranted acts of aggression, or cheating of any kind will not be tolerated and are grounds for disqualification. Trash talk is to be kept lighthearted between all parties; keep it PG.
-Seriously, just Settle It in Smash.
