Windy City eSports has teamed up with a new venue in Plainfield, Illinois (40 minutes from Chicago) to bring you the best in competitive gaming. Specifically, Super Smash Bros. Victory Games will be providing us a venue for our new "Victory Smash" Series (monthly and weekly), taking place of our former Suburb Smash Series. With ample space, multiple food/drink options in the same strip, and adequate streaming capability, Victory Games is helping us improve tournament quality for you guys most importantly!

RULES:
- For Melee, rules will follow Apex.
- For Project M, rules will follow Apex, but only two stage bans are allowed.

- For 3DS, any available characters are legal. 3 stocks, 8 minutes for each match. Players will follow 1-2-1 striking format to begin match. Winner of first match gets ONE (1) stage ban. Loser of the previous match chooses next stage, followed by winner's character change, which is then followed by the loser's character change. Player choosing stage cannot pick a stage that he/she has previously won on in the set unless mutually agreed upon. DEFAULT MOVESETS ONLY.

Might be a bit too far for me, but I'll see if I can make it. Registered just in case. If I do go, it will only be for the 3DS tournament. I'm assuming the three tournaments will be successive each other, rather than simultaneous, so I was wondering if you could give an estimated time the 3DS tournament will start closer to the date of this event.

@ L LynxAngeloC Melee will be first, followed by Project M. Smash 3DS will actually take place simultaneously throughout the day during these tournaments. The event as of now will be starting at 4:00pm instead of 1:00pm, so you can count on the 3DS event starting at 4:00pm as well.

@ oscil8 That's exciting! Looks like this will be the first tournament for a lot of players! It's always fun to see new players develop, and it'll be even better now that this will be happening on a more consistent basis between monthlies, weeklies, etc.

Our Smash 3DS rules are evolving as we watch more streams for the JP version of the game! Be sure to familiarize yourself with them in time for October 11th.

@ I Icero93 Victory Smash 1 (monthly, which you have registered for) is scheduled for 10/11 at 5:30pm. Monday Night Smash (weekly) will be starting 10/13 at 7:00pm, which I believe is Columbus Day, yes.
