[Oct 10, 2014] Gaoo Super Smash Bros. for 3DS Actual Tournament 1 (Seattle, WA)

Now that everyone has gotten some practice with the game it's time to play for real! We'll be streaming the tournament on twitch and putting up edited matches up onto youtube.

We will have have two extra copies of the game with all characters unlocked available for people to use during the tournament.

Entry Fee: $5 - Covers food, drinks, and goes toward cash prize.

Rules: Double Elimination
No customized characters (mii's are okay)
Omega (final destination) stages only.
3 stock
Best 2 out of 3

Prizes:
1st place - 70% Cash pot
2nd place - 20% Cash pot
3rd place - 10% Cash pot

Thanks to everyone who showed up last night. We had about 50 people in attendance. We went through 9 boxes of pizza and 6 two liters of soda. We were not expecting such an amazing turnout so unfortunately we had to go with single elimination instead of double elimination at the last minute.

Tonight was the first night we offered a cash prize. 1st $116, 2nd $32, and 3rd $16. Our winners tonight were 1st Seibrik (Mega Man), 2nd Masky (Duck Hunt), and 3rd Maj1k (Jiggly Puff / Ness). I hope everyone had a good time. Unfortunately next week I will be out of town and cannot host a tournament but next next Friday (24th) we'll be back on for weekly tournaments.

Next next week we'll finally be adding more stages to the rules. You'll no longer be stuck with the flat omega stages but will also have choices like Tomodachi Life, Yoshi's Island, Battlefield, and Prism Tower.
