Event - EVO 2016 NTSC-J for EVO Stream?

I posted this idea on Facebook but it got drowned out by other things, so here goes

I'm wondering if we can exploit a legal loophole and use the Japanese version of Melee for the EVO stream? Does NoA have rights over the NTSC-J version? Is this feasible?

This could be potentially really good for us. All we'd need is enough copies for however many streams we have. Everything else would be our normal NTSC versions.

I can't see EVO doing it, it's too much of a risk for them, unfortunately. :/

Great idea, but I wouldn't expect EVO to do this. As said, too risky. I wouldn't want to possibly jeopardize anything on our account.
