Our second Clemson tournament! Our first was a small Brawl tournament that turned out to be a pleasant success. Now, we plan to include Melee, PM, and Smash 4 into the mix in our monthly series in Clemson.

Schedule:
Pre-registration/Warmups start at 10am
Melee Singles: 11am
Brawl Doubles: 12pm
Smash 4 3DS Singles: 1pm
Brawl Singles: 2pm
Project M Singles: 3pm

-Singles events cost $5 to enter
-Doubles costs $10 ($5 from each participant).
-Also, there will be a one time venue fee of $2 for anyone entering any of the tournaments. You do not have to pay this multiple times if you enter multiple events. If you bring a full setup(TV+GC/Wii+Game), you can compete with no venue fee.
-Payouts for each event will be 60%/30%/10% for the top 3.

All tournaments are best 2 out of 3 and double elimination (if doubles has <8 teams then it will use round robin).

Don't forget to bring your own 3DS and charger if you plan to participate in the Smash 4 tournament! You won't be able to enter without bringing your own 3DS.

Location:

The tournament is located in the Daniel 100B building on Clemson Campus (100B is to the left of the main entrance of Daniel, right beside the outside staircase).

Clemson students: You should be able to park anywhere on campus. There is a parking lot (E-15) right beside the Cooper Library which is probably the closest spot to Daniel.

Non-Clemson students: There’s two options here. You can purchase an on-campus parking pass for visitors (http://www.clemson.edu/campus-life/campus-services/parking/visitors.html) for $6 so that you can park right by the venue (you can also just park there without a pass and risk it but our parking services is known to be vicious). If you do this, take the advice I gave to Clemson students above.

For free parking, you can park in the parking garage downtown and walk from there to the venue. It’s probably a 10 minute walk, there’s a Google Maps link below that shows the path. If you plan to park in the garage, you should take a look at it to see how to get to Daniel. Basically you just park in the parking garage, exit through the entrance (you should see a Moe’s on your right and Chipotle on your left as you’re exiting), turn right past Moe’s and walk straight out of downtown and just past the big open field (you’ll see the first building on campus right in front of you). Then hang a right and just keep walking straight until you get to the venue. I’ll try to have signs up kinda close to where we’re hosting it so you’ll know if you’re at the right place. If you see a huge pond on your right once you get close to the venue, you’re at the right place.

Parking garage address:
Clemson Downtown Parking Garage,
Sloan St, Clemson, SC 29631

Directions from the parking garage to the venue:

If all else fails just open that on your phone when you get here and just follow the blue line.

If you are bringing a setup, you will probably want to park in the E-15 lot right by Daniel to drop off/pick up your setup as the parking garage is a decent walk away from the venue. Sorry for the inconvenience! Here is a link to the E-15 parking lot on google maps if you want to go directly there: https://www.google.com/maps/place/E-15, Clemson University, Clemson, SC 29631/@34.676569,-82.8357209,19z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!1m3!3m2!1s0x88585e1135ab658d:0x8d3219cb792a8e56!2sClemson University!3m1!1s0x88585e6cf497e873:0x6ce2b09e5d35c2ad

Ah yeah that might be important to mention! We're going to use basically the same ruleset that you had at Smash Carolina V. For reference,

I might come, not sure yet though. If I do, it'll be my first tournament.

About how long do you think the SSB 3DS tournament will last?

Depends on how many people enter, no more than a couple of hours for sure. 3DS tournaments can move kinda quick because everyone has their own setup.
