Rules
- Bring Your Own Controller. There will not be any for you to borrow.
- You are responsible for yourself and your own things. Theft will be watched for but we will not be held responsible for things gone missing. Be smart.
- Be mindful of your matches. TOs can and will award a loss to anyone more than 5 minutes late to a tournament match.
- TOs reserve the right to warn, DQ or eject anyone they find acting disrespectful, aggressive or behaving in some unsavory manner.
- Know the rules to whatever events you enter.
- TOs reserve the right to record your likeness, be it gameplay footage or photographs.
- The TO's word is law.
- 4 stock, 8:00 minute timer.
- Items OFF.
- Pause OFF.
- Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks, then by percentage.
- Excessive stalling with Jigglypuff’s Rising Pound or Peach’s Wall Bomber etc is banned.
- Glitches such as Ice Climbers’s Freeze Glitch and Mewtwo’s Soul Stunner are banned.
- The Good Dave’s Stupid Rule: You cannot counterpick any stage you have won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
Stage Strike from Neutrals for the first match of the set in “121″ fashion:
1. First player strikes one stage.
2. Second player strikes two stages.
3. First player strikes one stage.

SMASH 4 RULESET
- 2 stock, 6:00 minute timer (3 stock, 8:00 minute timer for Doubles).
- All items set to OFF and item frequency set to NONE.
- Custom Fighters set to OFF.
- Pause set to OFF.
- Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks, then by percentage.
- The Good Dave’s Stupid Rule: You cannot counterpick any stage you have won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
- Bans are static throughout best-of-three sets but reset after every game in best-of-five sets.
- Wireless controllers (except Wii U Pro Controllers) are BANNED.
- In Doubles, players may not choose character palette swaps that involve the color of the opponent's team.
- First player strikes one stage.
- Second player strikes two stages.
- First player strikes one stage.

*Either player may request a move to an Omega stage if Final Destination is chosen. The Tournament Organizers recommend Palutena's Temple, but any Omega can be played on if the decision is mutual.
After each match:

- Loser chooses their character
Players may create Mii fighters before any set using system default Miis. Players should name the Mii following the four-digit code the chosen moves create on the Mii fighter creation screen. (For instance, a Mii Swordsman with Gale Strike, Chakram, Hero's Spin and Blade Counter should be named 1331.)
