So I've been looking to make my Duck Hunt playstyle more diverse, and I realised there are almost no proper techs found for Duck Hunt, or at least no easy way to look them up. This is why I made this thread, what techs are you guys using, what name have you given then, and what are their uses? I'll list them on this post as something that people can look through.
Instant Ledge Wall Jump (Discovered by @ENKER)
While hanging on a ledge, slightly pull the control stick away from it to initiate a drop and then immediately smash it forward. If done fast enough, you'll go from hanging almost immediately to a wall jump. (Yes, I realize this is not how a normal wall jump is done. This tech is weird that way. Think buffering!)
If you continue to hold forward after smashing the control stick, some characters can wall jump and land on the stage making this a new way to ledge recover in one action.
Known stages that DHD's ILWJ can be used on:
Omega Wily Castle
Omega Boxing Ring
Omega Bridge of Eldin
Omega Onett
Final Destination
Battlefield 3DS
Yoshi's Island 3DS
Duck Hunt
Castle Siege
Uses of ILWJ for DHD:
A few moves, mainly Bair, can be done out of ILWJ and it increases the number of methods that DHD can use to get up from a ledge, this also makes any ILWJable stages good counterpicks against a character that cannot ILWJ.
More on ILWJ: http://smashboards.com/threads/instant-ledge-wall-jumping-smash-4s-scar-jump.381466/
Techs that almost all characters can do but are useful with DHD:
Special thanks @ DunnoBro for most of these.

Techs that almost all characters can do but are useful with DHD:
Reverse Aerial Rush
RAR is used to Bair an opponents while keeping forward momentum.
It is performed by dashing, then quickly smashing the control stick in the opposite direction, immediately jumping, and then using your back aerial. This results in the character being in the air facing the opposite direction than the original dash direction while retaining the forward momentum. This video shows how it can be done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwk3VgZDuEs
Foxtrot
Foxtrot involves using the starting part of a dash repeatedly as a form of movement, this is done by dashing, letting go of the left-stick, then dashing again with character specific timing. DHD can use this to Trick Shot while still moving by pressing B in between dash inputs. This can be used as a form of approaching that covers both the ground and the area above DHD where the can is, as well as pressuring. This tech can also be used in conjunction with another tech called Kara Smash, there is a video on it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LE1emLDAZ8
(There is a specific thread for this tech and how it applies to DHD, check it out here: http://smashboards.com/threads/duck-hunts-s-smash-foxtrot-and-timing-with-the-can.381043/)
Kara Smash/Stutter S-Smash
This tech can be done by doing the dash input then immediately after that, doing a forward-smash, this can be used to give extra range to smash attacks. Look at the video and thread above for more information on this tech and how it can be used with the foxtrot tech.
Perfect Pivot

This can be used to slide in to smash attacks and tilts, effectively giving them more range. It also adds spacing options.
