So I'm gunna post a youtube video of me on dolphin doing it, i recently found this tech out and me and my friends have been calling it Frost Canceling (because my name lol) but basically its like canceling an aerial move on a ledge but canceling a turnip pull on a ledge/platform or most platforms. I found it on accident on dreamland so that is where its gunna be in the video, but i believe how it works is the more momentum you have the faster the turnip pull is cancelled and the first time i did it i was just regularly falling and basically pulled a turnip off stage in the air. I've been using it for faster turnip pulls and to surprise people who haven't seen it before, and of course I've been pulling turnips a lot safer since learning the tech. Anyway here is the short video with me probably failing a lot at first :) video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVtlkxTovB4
its probably been found before but i recently found it and have been using it a lot and my friends started calling it frost canceling.

Yes don't be discouraged, we need people labbing and trying new things.

This is just my personal view on this topic but from time to time I've seen similar posts about new techs being discovered (so this is not directly at you). Anyways; I get it people want to be immortalized, but naming a tech after yourself usually never works out, it's sort of like nicknaming yourself. I know you said your friends starting calling it that, but even if that is the case Frost canceling sort of doesn't make sense to the tech. It's not hard to explain in simple common terms like "Edge Cancel Turnip", "Pull cancel", or "Turnip cancel". I hear frost cancel an I think a special like blizzard or some cold based attack is being canceled, the name is a common non-unique word with a meaning already. Things that are named after people are very rare and they usually are coined by a large majority since the tech would otherwise be too complex to put in terms (and it's usually a popular veteran player who used it a lot). "Isai drop" "Thunders combo" "Wobbles" "Amsah tech".

Yeah i know, i didnt know it exsited prior to me posting it, my friends and i have been calling it that but its clearly not new but i guess its also not used much? anyway i just like to use it for fun and try and get swag combos on my friends in friendlies. I totally respect that someone found it before me and by no means do i want to discredit them for their findings after i just found it while having fun. :)

Yeah, it's not a very widely known tech because it's really hard to do: you have to be positioned just right so you fall off the ledge after the turnip spawns but before you run out of momentum. It was known to be useful in a Break the Targets strat as early as 2004, but it's so hard it was more or less deemed impractical in competitive play by the few players that knew about it. It's really cool tech, so be proud of finding it on your own.

Yeah, name it something like the Randall Ledge Exploit...

And then have your hopes and dreams shot down by Epsilon. I was really confident I found something new for the first hour or so lol.
