Hello, all. While I was trying to increase my knowledge of the game, I labbed out % ranges for comboes, and one of my favorites is Nair > FJK. It's not infallible, but it is useful.

Some notes before hande:
  • This was done in training mode, so ZSS has no rage and no staling.
  • The CPU was set to "Control", so the recipient has absolutely no DI.
  • I tried my best to time Nair to be as close to the ground as possible without frame-cancelling, but there's always error in experiments.
  • I tried my best to perfectly space max-range Nair, but again, there's always error in experiments. Idle animations could've caused some error occasionally as well, but I tried to watch for that.
  • Miis are done with middle wight and middle height, basically guest miis.
  • Some of these were done at different times. I know the ones I did later were solely true comboes, butt he earlier ones might've been a bit lax. Let me know if any of the numbers prove to be fraudulent for you.

Somebody play me in ssb4. Im nice
This isn't the place to ask for games. You'll want to check out the social thread or the sparring thread if we have one.

Did you test these as true combo's? or just when it connects?
As I said, I did these at different times. The later ones, ie: Diddy Kong, were true comboes, whiles ones done in the past might've been more lenient. This took me kind of a long time. :s

thanks for this :]
This is any hit that connected cleanly, yes.

Define text list?

Apologies as I'm sort of new to this character, but does it matter where in the nair you hit the opponent to get the fjk follow up? I usually try to space it so that I get them with the end of the whip, but sometimes I hit them closer to the handle.

"Max range" is the furthest away you can be while still hitting them, while "Min range" is the closest you can be while still hitting them.

What would we use to define what's appropriate rage factor Equin0x Equin0x ?
This was done in Training Mode, so there was no rage in my experiment, but I would say that for every 10% rage (past 60%) you could could lower the combo % by 5%. That's just a crude estimate, though. I can test it with different amounts of rage on, say, Mario to get some numbers on how rage affects it.

honestly nah it's cool I was just wondering because I seem to randomly get that OR not go for that on hits because of certain rage factors where I am like "crap that was a kill" but didn't expect them to pop that high so low but it was my fault for being at certain % thresh-holds

DI heavily screws with that combo though. If they DI in it can work much longer, if they DI down and away it stops being true fairly early.
