Could be, but I'm more so expecting something about a new game, sounds like it's a bigger deal.
Well for now I don´t know what to expect, but if I were Nintendo I will do a Presentation with Iwata where he talks what is coming to the WiiU then make a introduction to the high Directors of the new games that will come next year in order like:

1) Risa Tabata introducing Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze with a new video and maybe introducing the secret character (The people would go bananas if the secret character is King K. Rool).

2) Kosuke Yabuki introducing Mario Kart 8 with a new video, more modes, new characters and new levels.

3) Yusuke Hashimoto introducing Bayonetta 2 with a new video.

4) Masahiro Sakurai introducing Smash Bros WiiU / 3DS with three new characters reveals Little Mac, Mii and Ridley (once again the crowd will go bananas) with a tentative release Fall of 2014.

5) Tetsuya Takahashi introducing a new video for the "X" title and tentative release Winter of 2014.

Finally Iwata anounce other third party games that will coming to the WiiU and end of the presentation.

For me that would the biggest highlight of the show with those games and announcing new content for all of them with new trailers, Nintendo will shut up the west Media that have talk trash about Nintendo in this year.

Well I don´t know if this has been posted but Reggie did say in a interview that maybe they will show something exciting at VGX, could it be a Nintendo Direct or something else, VGX will be in December 7, here is the link.

You always come up with cool info, anyways i'm expecting LOZ wii U to be reveled here maybe or at least we find out a bit about it, or maybe some remake idk. And I think zelda might be revealed there, of course it could be other things and not that.

You have to be legit to go in the Broom that's how it usually goes down, although i'm surprised the 64 people in it don't get cute ribbons or icons or something.

Woah there, didn't he just say they had a surprise? Most of this stuff could be saved for a big January Direct in 2014, or even later than that, so I wouldn't count on them blowing it all on one go. The January Direct this year was pretty damn great, so I'm expecting something like that again.

Also, K. Rool in TF and Ridley in SSB would make not only the crowd to bonkers, but everyone watching at home too. Like you said, it'd be a great way to shut the naysayers up, but I don't think they'd blow this much at once. I could see at least 3 of these points being saved for a Nintendo Direct instead. Don't get me wrong, it'd be a dream come true, but I don't think we should get expectations too high.

Would be kind of funny with at least one newcomer announcement on December 7th, since that was Brawl's original release date until presumably a certain Hedgehog came speeding in.

I think we may not see an estimate release date in December till probably E3 perhaps.
This is a nice list of what could happen.

Kudos to you, Sakurai. You have once again managed to shock and bewilder us adoring Smash fans. Even those who predicted nothing never saw such an awe-inspiring pic of the day coming. Well, ALMOST no one saw it coming...

Commence Sakurai accidentally uploaded porn tonight instead of the pic :troll:.

Scenario:
Sakurai: *browsing porn site*
Namco Worker: "Hey, so exactly how big should Ridley be?"
Sakurai: Oh sh#t *click*
-uploading-
Sakurai: Holy Sheeto!!!
Surprisingly, this was the closest anyone got to guessing today's pic correct. Congrats, comrade! :troll:

(or at least Johnknight1 confirmed not to really care because Project M 3.0 will be consuming my life then)
VGX will be on December 7th, Project M 3.0 will only be out on December 9th, so you'll probably still drool on your keyboard while constantly having the 3.0 trailer on repeat (or is that just me?)

Well, I'm disappointed in this pic. Not that we didn't see a reveal, it was just a pretty dumb pic. I don't want to sound selfish or anything, but come on...

That doesn't make his ideas or theories or gameplay additions or updates any better than anything the PMBR is doing. That's not to say that what he has done is good or bad work, but ultimately the released result (and the post-release fixed results) is ultimately what people judge a game by, not "how many hours you works".

Also, working less hours (say 60 hours a week tops) would be beneficial to Sakurai for development, as it would make him fresher. Warren Buffet is one of the richest men in the world, and he became rich despite working very minimal hours. But man, when he worked, he worked, and he got work done, and made billions off it.
That's my point, Sakurai is putting EFFORT in this game, effort requires time, but he's really focusing on making something that fixes the flaws of past and can provide the ultimate experience, at least according to him. He says he tries to look at even the smallest details of the game and supervise these areas to make sure it leaves an impression as the best Smash. While I respect all unbiased opinions (such as your own, when it comes to P:M), I myself don't really see any blatant problems with the new Smash so far. He doesn't need to get swapped by modders and I also think Nintendo makes great home console games (just look at 3D World) on their own, they just, like you said, suck at advertising. I understand that Sakurai's posts may upset you and I acknowledge that he isn't contributing to the hype factor as well as he could be, but you have to remember that deep down, the very fact that he even posts updates on a daily basis at all is pretty surprising. Heck, sometimes we get something new, even. I'm not saying you shouldn't be disappointed, but condemning the creator of what seems to be one of your (and my) favorite franchises over something he could choose not to do in the first place is ridiculous, to be frank. Yes, Sakurai is missing many opportunities with these joke pics, but there have been at least 30 pics so far that have revealed something new. That's more than what most franchises can say. Look at Kingdom Hearts 3. I'm hyped as ever for that most-likely-to-be incredible game, but the public has practically no knowledge of what it will actually hold in store. Call me a "Sakurai fanboy" or "fantard" if you want, but at the end of the day, I just see myself as another fan of a series of video games I like to play. If that means being optimistic and looking past the lesser quality gameplay of Brawl to a brighter future, then that's just what it's going to be. I personally think he knows what he's doing, he has flaws, but he's the same guy who made Melee, the same guy who added the wonderful side contents, updates and extras (Music, for example) in Brawl, and same guy who started this all with Smash 64.

What makes this one different form the other 100 or so dumb pictures? The only good ones are the ones with Wii Fit Trainer's Jigglypuffs if you ask me.

I don't even expect new information from Sakurai so much. More often than not I just expect different looks at non-Battlefield stages sometimes. So I mean when we get a joke picture that at least shows some elements of a stage or a new angle to examine it from, that's fine. It's just joke pictures that literally don't show anything for the most part.

And even then it's not like I hate Sakurai for it? It just bugs me that it happened. Because I know there'll be five more pictures next week that will far more often than not meet my very minimal expectation. :p

But admittedly sometimes I get a little sucked into anniversary reveal hype even though now I'm convinced it'll never lead to anything.

EDIT: Like so far this month? I'd say two pictures didn't do it for me. (This one, and Pikachu sitting)

Because I'm perfectly okay with taking in new environments, and I am really digging the stages for this game.

It can be Zelda but I think Zelda will be revealed in the next E3 if that game will come in 2015, so at least it will not have such a huge gap and the journalists and many people love the series so it can be the highlight of the E3 with other games in the future, for now I will focus in the present and what has been done this year with this 5 high profile games and focus really hard on the Wii U thats why I can see making a huge surprise in this event with one or more titles that will come the next year and reveal something huge, it will be free advertising and good RRPP for Nintendo making a huge come back like that.

Woah there, didn't he just say they had a surprise? Most of this stuff could be saved for a big January Direct in 2014, or even later than that, so I wouldn't count on them blowing it all on one go. The January Direct this year was pretty damn great, so I'm expecting something like that again.

I think is better if they announce some of this surprises pretty close to the Christmas season because it will mean that the people that would watch the show and the next day the media highlight the important points of the show they will mention all of this surprises and more people will be convinced in buying a Wii U with all this new games coming next year for the system with all the other that can be played like Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101 and the new Mario Game.

I don´t think Nintendo need to wait until January to make a Direct if they can do it now with an already big crowd watching this event in television and other media.

I think we may not see an estimate release date in December till probably E3 perhaps.
This is a nice list of what could happen.
Maybe not but I think DK: Tropical Freeze will be in Spring, Mario Kart in Summer, Bayonetta 2 between Summer and Fall, Smash in Fall or winter and X could possible be in Winter so all this games could be presented every three months and sustaining the system with high profile games, adding all the other third party games.

Sakurai is a ****** and is the cancer that is killing smash. Go play project m, and be involved in a movement that matters. Enlist today and you too can be a project m player, a 100% fan created smash game that is making a stand for the rights of smashers everywhere. Pity on the drones that still buy into smash 4 and its lies, and have mercy on us all.

Do games even get announced at Spike's VGA? Have they ever?

I think this "surprise" Reggie is talking about is going to be something unimportant.

K.

Don't care about Project M.
I respect and enjoy smash games of all colors and nationalities. That is, except brawl which gave me lumpy spiderman aids. Like all aids, it took a while to fester, so I enjoyed it for a little bit, but all the same it took me down when I was not expecting it and now I require many fierce medication
