With the advent of the Panda Global Ranking, many players from Mexico lamented that some of their country’s most important tournaments, like Smash Factor and The Arena, were not being taken into account while crafting the PGR v4.
While Mexican players are still present in the rankings (with the most prominent one being Leonardo “MkLeo” López, #4 on the PGRv4 and one of the top contenders for #1 player in the world), most Mexican players cannot afford to travel to any of the qualifier tournaments in the U.S.
With that in mind, in order to better present the talent that Mexico has to offer, several of Mexico’s regional TOs and top players for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U banded together to present the first ever national power ranking.
The panel has already released ranks 50 to 41 and plan to release the others soon in a similar fashion to MIOM’s Top 100. You can check the release video below.
