Mewtwo Final Smash Freezes

So I was messing around, and decided to check out Mewtwo's final smash. A assist trophy spawned, so I used it, then I used Mewtwo's final smash. It froze the game. Curious, I decided to go into training, use an assist trophy, and then use Mewtwo's final smash. It froze again. I tried on 5 different assist trophies, they all froze the game. Not sure if it's the same for Pokémon balls.
