OP is relative to the format in a game like Magic. I think 3/3 for GG as a legendary permanent with a drawback is reasonable... provided the drawback is relevant and there are some decent answers that don't involve drawback abuse.

Tarmogoyf hit like 3/4 for 1G pretty quickly and he only got bigger (okay he capped but you know what I mean).

Wild Nacatl hits 3/3 for G potentially. Though some dual lands are required.

Hilariously I don't even know if a card like that would see play during some of the recent standard formats we've had. Think Jund's era right now. Putrid Leech is so good.

The existence of Ratchet Bomb makes me not even want to play right now, though, because the only deck that's been fun so far is Kuldotha Red because of how hilariously stupid it is sometimes.

If you actually want to try this, let me get in on thisss

Making a full set is stupidly difficult though

Technical Skill (during your upkeep, you may have your opponent name a type of card [artifact, enchantment, creature, land, sorcery, instant, planeswalker]. Reveal all cards of the chosen type.)

Then after doing that, you get an effect of some kind. Like, if you have a creature it might get some kind of stat buff. Or your enchantment's effect might get buffed.

I'm not sure a type of card is good, though, because that allows the opponent interaction and technical skill is a fairly solitary thing you can practice yourself. Maybe "technical skill: X" where you reveal X cards from your hand at random or something. Cards with better effects will have higher X cost. Of course, that means a lot of hand management is important, which would be weird because that means you're playing conservatively and technical skill (IMO) is a big enabler for reckless play.

I dunno what you're going for here... what does having the opponent pick a card and you revealing stuff have to do with tech skill? Is the idea just to get beneficial effects that trigger pseudo-randomly? I guess that kind of is like tech skill but those kinds of things don't usually play well at all.

Off the top of my head I think some sort of mechanic similar to Level Up would work for tech skill cause it conveys the "practicing in your room" type of thing.

Another option is to just not keyword it. A lot of the various flavors of tech skill/aggression can be conveyed with combinations of existing mechanics (double strike, haste, must attack if able, provoke, whatever).

Haste is really, really good though

I think it would see play usually, but not be format-warping or anything.

Dr. Peepee is quite strong, being able to take away 3 cards at the cost of only the one trap card. But then again, there is plenty of ridiculous Yugioh cards. Idk, if balance is what you're trying to go for, that might be a little too powerful.

Magic is pretty awesome but I dunno if there's an easy online card generator and Idk how many people have played magic compared to pokemon.

Actually I think pokemon cards is the best for it because you get to name the moves. Happy feet as flipping 4 coins is brilliant

so i was brainstorming a TCG at work

i was thinking you should be able to make a character specific deck that can play to your characters strengths

like if you have a sheik deck, she'll have a bonus to gimp/tech chase/grab/combo cards or something like that

i was thinking like we could have magic/trap cards that are 'projectile' or 'tech chase'

and if your character has good projectiles, the projectile magic cards is granted a bonus
and if your character has a good tech chase, you get to flip the coin two times to get a heads, or a tails or w/e
something like that

so on the cards it would be like

Samus Aran
Bonus to Projectile, CC, Recovery, etc.

and stuff like that

so if I were to have a Samus deck, I would stock it with like projectile magic cards, CC & UB OoS trap cards (limited) and idk something like that

you could have 4 monster type cards, of your choosing

and you start with these 4, and they're public,

then you draw your x cards from the deck, and based on what you draw, you can determine what 'monster' you want to go with

like if you draw cards that cater to projectile characters, and you have a ganon/falcon you obv wouldn't play that monster first

but if you had a fox/falco, would be better choice

I think the best idea as far as smash MTG goes is include multiple characters from ppls games link Midna from LoZ,several pokemon,Goombas and koopas,etc....
