Black Wolf Gaming Center and BreadnButter Games are back to bring you Eastern Washington's premier Smash Bros Tournaments! This time we'll be using the Official Standard Custom Moveset Project for our tournament. If you are attending, and the custom you use is NOT part of that project, please post below and we'll have it added to the setups. We will be using a 3DS with all loaded presets to add to every Wii U that is brought to the venue.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Rules:

A. Game Settings
● Stock and time are set to 2 stock and 6 minutes
● Custom Fighters are set to ON
● The "Random" option when selecting a custom fighter is banned due to random equipment being added
● Mii Fighters are legal, but players are not allowed to transfer existing Miis to a setup

B. Stage List

Starter Stages
● Battlefield
● Final Destination
● Smashville

Counterpick Stages
● Delfino Plaza
● Duck Hunt
● Lylat Cruise
● Town & City
● Omega Stages*
* Treated as Final Destination in banning phase. If Final Destination is banned,
Omega Stages are banned and vice versa.

C. Additional Rules
●Hand Warmers / Moveset check are limited to 30 seconds, and may only be performed prior to game one of the set. If you are using a moveset that is NOT part of the Custom Moveset Project on Smashboards (http://smashboards.com/threads/official-standard-custom-moveset-project-initial-release.381395/ ) Then you must post in the thread below to notify the TO to add it to the setup. There will be NO creating additional custom characters at the tournament.
● Stage Striking: The player with port priority strikes one stage from the Starter Stage list. Then the other player strikes one stage and the remaining stage is used for the first match.
● Stage Clause: A player/team may not pick any stage they previously won
on during the set.
● Stage Bans: During the stage ban phase, the player who won the
previous game may ban 2 stages from either the Starter or Counterpick
lists.
● Self Destruct Moves: If a match ends with the successful use of a character’s self destruct move, the result screen prevails. In the event of sudden death, the player that initiated the move is the victor.

Self destruct moves include only Ganondorf’s Side B, Bowser Side B

● Alternate Controllers: The Wii U Gamepad, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo 2DS are banned from use as controllers unless the opponent agrees to let you (Due to potential game lag). All other controllers are
acceptable for this event.

● Bowser Jr’s Clown Car Glitch: If the Bowser Jr.’s Clown Car Glitch
happens, players are to pause the match and call a TO or a referee over
to confirm the glitch has happened. Once confirmed, players will reset the
match to the same stocks and get as close to the percents as they had when the Glitch took place. (The Bowser Jr. Clown Car Glitch happens when the car respawns after using Up B right before the player loses their
stock. The character starts to teleport around, also hit boxes and animations for Bowser Jr. change.)

Tournament format:
The set begins with picking Characters. Both players select characters. If a player whishes, they may call a double blind pick. In the event of a double blind pick, the player who called it will tell a person their character. The other player will then select their character. The person watching will then announce which character the player told them. This is to prevent character counterpicking before game one.

Stage striking:
After character selection the players will participate in Rock Paper Scissors.
The loser strikes 1 stage
The Winner then picks the first stage in the set based off the remaining 2 stages.

Counterpicking;
The winner of the previous game may ban up to 2 stages that the loser may not counterpick.

You may not counterpick back to the last stage you won on in the set (Dave's Stupid Rule)

Counterpicking order:
Winning player bans stages
Losing player selects stage
Winning player selects character
Losing player selects character
match begins

The WINNER of each set is to report the match score to the Tournament Organizer. (Note: This is not the same as the live streamer)

Project: M 3.5 Rules:
4 Stock
8 Minute Timer
Striking based on a 1221 fashion
DSR is ON
Bottom row on default stage list are Neutral Stages
Middle row on default stage list are counterpick stages
Winning player gets 3 stage bans before the Loser counterpicks stage. Stage bans are repeated after every match in Project M.

Counterpicking order:
Winning player bans stages
Losing player selects stage
Winning player selects character
Losing player selects character
match begins

Melee Rules:
A. Game Settings
● Stocks: 4
● Time Limit: 8 minutes
B. Stage List

● Yoshi’s Story
● Fountain of Dreams (singles only)
● Battlefield
● Final Destination
● Dream Land
● Pokémon Stadium (doubles only)
Counterpick Stages

C. Additional Rules

there is one stage remaining. The player/team without port priority strikes
first. Then the other player/team strikes two stages. Then the player/team
with port priority strikes one more stage and the remaining stage is used
for the first game of the set.

● Stage Bans: After each game of the set, before counterpicking, the player
who won the previous game may ban one stage from either the starter or
counterpick list. This rule is not in effect for best of 5 sets.
