M&SG's Texture Mega Pack

It took me a few months, but I have finally released my texture mega pack for anyone that wants to get hold of certain textures.

What's inside the mega pack?
* The texture mega pack contains at least 1 texture for every character, including Giga Bowser and Wario-Man.
* Each texture has its own portrait files (except for Giga Bowser and Wario-Man). However, you need to use CUPASH to convert the portrait files.
* Most textures are team battle friendly, but that's not always the case for Pokemon Trainer.
* Many of these textures came from Stack Smash, Kitty Corp., and other various sources.

Notes regarding the mega pack
* Certain characters will contain more than one texture that uses a specific texture slot. In that type of dilemma, only one of those textures can be used at a time. This is true even for any textures that aren't used in team battles.
* None of the textures in the mega pack are mine, but I did make modifications to a portion of the textures.
* Default textures remain unedited.
* There are no textures for Mr. G&W since his only texture file (FitGameWatch00) contains all 6 of his color slots.
* Jigglypuff's sleep hat texture (FitPurin02) remains unedited since there are reports of the game freezing if that texture is replaced.

How to use the download
* You need to first install the Homebrew Channel onto your Wii.
* Get hold of the Homebrew application, Gecko OS.
* Get hold of Phantom Wing's file replacement code. I use the File Replacement v2.1a code. You can go here to get hold of the code.

I hope that you'll enjoy what this mega pack has to offer since it took me a long time to set it all up.

This only seems to freeze if you put a texture OTHER than an edited sleep hat texture. The birthday hat one on Kittycorp seems to work fine with it, for example.

I never tested the textures out on Wi-Fi. I hardly ever do Wi-Fi Brawls, due to laggy connections.

Nope. It only has the texture that came from Stack Smash, as of now.

The download link changed when I released version 2 to the public. The updated download link should work. You must've either had a slow computer or your computer couldn't respond to the web site when you were trying to get the download.

Try looking for a CUPASH guide if you're stumped. I've tested every portrait that's in there and they worked with no major flaws.

This is great, thanks! But (if you made them yourself) may I suggest making Gold and Clone trainer's portaits without the Pokemon? and likewise making Politoed and etc. be just squirtle, etc without the other pokemon and the trainer in there.

Do you have the right files? You do need all the InfFace###.brres files to create the small portraits. Anyway, like I said previously, the portraits were tested out and they all worked on my end. If you still can't get the portraits to work, try re-indexing them. Also, try not to use too many portraits at once; 120 portraits at a time should work.

Most of the portraits are of my design, but all the textures are created by the people mentioned on the second post.

Anyway, regarding your question about the Pokemon Trainer, there's no Clone Trainer in the mega pack, as of now. Also, I have the habit of pairing the Pokemon textures together, especially when you take into account their Final Smash PAC. Likewise, I have the habit of pairing Zelda and Sheik textures together, and of course, the Samus and Zero Suit Samus textures.

The Pokemon Trainer portraits were designed to look very similar to the actual portraits themselves. This scenario also exists for the Zelda and Sheik portraits. Samus and Zero Suit Samus portraits remain separate, just like with the default portraits.

Thanks for the share, I just got a whole bunch of CSPs I really needed. I plan to make my first custom pack with a texture and its appropriate portrait for every alternate color, so this certainly came in handy (except for G&W who got screwed thanks to that whole single file whole colors crap).

I just got a couple of questions though. What's the deal with the whole Jigglipuff thing? I downloaded a pack at the beginning of the year (had 20+ textures) and it had a Weegee w/ straw hat for Jigg's green costume, instead of the sleep hat, and my game never froze.
Also can I actually have a custom texture with its CSP and CBP for EVERY-SINGLE alternate color without my game freezing?

After more than two months of searching for new textures, I've finally released Texture Mega Pack version 3. It contains the same textures from version 2, while also having a large amount of textures that were never released during version 2's release.

The new download can be found on the primary post. On a side note, a Microsoft Excel document has been added to help people figure out which textures use which texture slots.

By the way, if you're looking for some of the past Stack Smash textures, you can get them here while the site is still trying to get back online.

Sadly, despite your requests, I won't be able to upload the Texture Mega Pack onto a different website; it would be time consuming, considering the size of the file. Therefore, all that I can say is that you should own a fast computer, and have good luck getting onto the RapidShare website.

It's not the speed of the comp thats a problem(Lol i have 8gb of ram). It's the servers Rapidshare use. It's not your fault though.

Every texture has a set of portraits that are designed to work with CUPASH.

However, there are no CSPs for any of the Giga Bowser and Wario-Man textures; they have no portraits anyway.
