Truly I don't think Link sucks at all. It's just that many of us still haven't grown a custom to the way he is suppose to be played yet. Brawl Link relies on more defense than ever before, something a few overlook. Airdodging is vital to Link's survival once mastered, mostly when short-hopping. You can't really be KOed if you're never hit, right? Link's recovery isn't to shabby ether if you think about it. I mean, how often do you really die falling to your doom rather then being KOed at the sides of the stage or even in the sky. All you really have to do is find the right timing to use his second jump (even though it's short as hell) and you're set for the most part. Link may have his flaws, but he's still a force to be known. In the end, he has one of the longest learning curves in the entire game, veteran or not. Besides, there's still so much to dig up about Link that I'm sure we'll all figure out at some point.
