As we'e started to expand, we've quickly realized that there's only so far we can get with a name and logo that are technically owned by Nintendo. To get around this issue, we've rebranded to become Team Permafrost!
The website link www.mechakoopa.com will now redirect to our new website, www.teampermafrost.com.
Nothing about us has changed except for our name!
CtC8 will take place this Friday, July 31st at 7:00 CST. Check-in on Challonge (www.challonge.com/ctc8) will begin at 6:00 CST. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IN BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT BEGINS!

NOW we'll get onto the UPDATED rules- I've made a slight change to the stage list.
-RULES-
2 stock, 6 minute
If timed out, the game will be settled by stock advantage. If tied, it will be settled by percent advantage.
Gentleman's rule is in effect (any stage may be chosen if both parties agree)
Dave's Stupid Rule is in effect (cannot counterpick to a stage previously won at)
Customs and equipment will be turned off.
All sets will be best of 3.
|>Stage Striking and Counterpicking
To determine the first stage played on, players will strike stages (in order of 1-2-1, the lower seeded player is granted the first ban). Whichever stage remains is the one that will be chosen.
When counterpicking, any stage on the list may be chosen, but only after the winner of the last game has banned two stages of his choosing. These bans are separate, and to not carry over from the strikes before game one.

As you can see, Dream Land is now a starting stage and Lylat is now a counterpick. I've seen a couple tournaments do this, so this serves as an experiment to see how people like it. In addition, all sets this tournament will be played in a best of 3 format.
