[July 16th Thursday] Night Smashdown 3DS and WIIU

I am a huge fan of tournaments and I wanted to see more of them done and thus we have Thursday Night Smashdown. There is a lack of 3DS tournaments so instead of just hosting a WiiU tournament I will also be hosting a 3DS one that will take place around the same time. Check in time for the 3DS will be at 6:30 EST and the tournament itself will begin at 7:30.

Wii U check in time will begin at 7:00 EST and will begin at 8:00 EST.

A ranking board will begin to be built after the first or second tournaments so come early and come often.

I am going to either post all of the rules tonight or tomorrow early morning. As of now there are no custom moves that are legal in this tournament. But future ones may allow them.

So far the 3DS tournament is getting alot of attention though the Wii U tournament is not. Tomorrow I may try to stream a few of the matches with my new capture card. Continue to sign up and lets make this first tournament one to remember.

If we do not have a large turn out for the WII U tournament I will try to have all of the matches streamed live.

The rules for the tournament are simple:

2 stocks/lives
6 minute matches
No items
No customs
No cheating - If caught cheating you will be disqualified.

In case of time expiring then the player with more lives will win, if both players have one life each then the player with the lower amount of percent will be the winner. IF in the case of a dispute then the final decision will decided by the host of the tournament.

Smashville
Final Destination
Town and City
Battlefield (Large/Small)

3DS:

Omega Any
Yoshi Story
Battlefield
Final Destination

I am not sure about the 3DS games right now. I figured out how to stream the WII U games though the 3DS will be a bit more tricky. When I get home from work today I will create a twitch account so please stand by for that.

I don't go to twitch, it would make my computer slower than what it is now.

As of now there are some technical issues to work out with streaming. There may or may not be streaming tonight. As of now the tournaments will commence as planned. I have created a pair of chat rooms on Mibbit for everyone to use to communicate.

As of now I created a pair of chat rooms to be used for everyone to communicate with. Friend codes will be exchnaged though here. I need to work out a few details with the streaming side of the house so there is a chance that there will be no streaming this week.

It has been a busy week for me. I will open up the tournament for sign ups and if anyone decides to sign up for it then I will host it. I will be bushing harder for a tournament next week since things for me will be slowing down by then.

There will be a Thursday Night Smashdown on the 16th of July. After some practice with the streaming tech I believe I should be able to stream a few of the Wii U matches. Rules will be updated as the date comes closer so be on the look out.

I'd be happy to help. The way this works is, in the chat that you will be in (should be in challonge rules), you will locate your opponent. Then you will exchange NNIDs, and someone will host a match, after that you fight to the death. If you have any questions, just ask ahead.
