Individual Moveset Tier Lists for Ike?

I remember the Ganondorf boards making a tier list for their character's moveset a while ago. I was thinking about using this idea to see how Ike's would generally look. With the 1.0.4 update as well as exposure to both versions of the game, I am curious to see what you guys think. Also, do not hesitate to factor in custom variants of Ike's specials. ^-^

For me, personally:

S Tier:

F-air
D-tilt
B-air
D-throw
U-throw
N-air

A Tier:

Jab
F-tilt
U-smash
Pummel
Pivot Grab
Dash Grab
U-air
Quick Draw

B Tier:

U-tilt
Dash Attack
Eruption
B-throw
F-throw
Grab
Aether
D-air
F-smash

C Tier:

Counter
D-smash

I may edit this with provided explanations at a later time. I'm very much looking forward to seeing yours. ^-^

UPDATE 1 (Dec. 2, 2014): Okay. List updated with Aether moved past D-smash, and with Grabs and Throws included.

UPDATE 2 (May 12, 2015): Major revamp. Over five months have passed since my list was last updated, and my perspective of some of Ike's moves have changed since.

+ B-air moved up from A to S tier.
+ D-throw and U-throw moved up from A to S tier.
+ U-tilt moved up higher in B-tier.
+ Due to pivot F-smashing made easier from the 1.0.6. update, F-smash moved up from C to B tier.
- Dash attack moved down to the bottom of B tier.
- D-smash moved down from B to C tier.
* Dash Grab included

UPDATE 3 (June 16, 2015): Buffs galore! Hitbox fixes, landing lag reductions, decreased start-up lag, etc.

+ N-air moved up from A to S tier.
+ U-air moved up from B to A tier.
+ U-tilt moved up to the top of B tier.
+ Dash Attack moved up from the bottom of B tier.
+ D-air moved up from C to B tier.

Now that is a complete list. I had difficulty deciding where to put the Grabs, and I never thought about separating the three Jabs.

Nice! ^-^

Is the rank by how often we use the move or how useful the move is?

Ah. In that case, Fsmash would be a little higher just for the sheer reward for the move on the edge, even if it's very situational.

Bthrow? Interesting. It lost my love when I couldn't dash attack out of it anymore. Subsequently reduced dash attack's value, too. lol at customs. Tempest and Close Combat are indeed in S for me, too, but now that's quite a bit of moves in S...

We should remake that thread we had for brawl with no. of Ike's heads showing the usefulness of his moves. that'll be pretty decent.

Very nice lists. Perhaps I may be underrating D-air? I mainly use it for meteor smashing off-stage, but the stricter meteor hitbox it is given in this iteration made it difficult for me to use this way. Are there uses for D-air on-stage that I am missing or not seeing?

I mostly get the non spike hitbox, it´s really hard to land in my opinion and very situational. I miss the lingering hitbox from brawl.
I don´t really use the move onstage, there are better options most of the time.

With his heavily improved Fair, Bthrow simply to get them off stage is too good. I find that it works better for that than Fthrow. And while you can't follow up with Dash Attack anymore, chasing them down with either Nair or Fair on stage is something I end up doing quite frequently. Grab, Pummel a few times, throw them sideways instead of up like they're expecting for a combo and see what they try to do to react.

I almost entirely have forgotten about this topic. I was reminded of it, thanks to @ san. san. 's post in a very recently created thread pertaining to the same subject.

Anyway, I have made a second update to my list, basing it both on my new experiences over the last few months as well as the changes made from 1.0.6. For those of you who have already created your own lists in this thread, do you still agree with how your list looked from the beginning? If not, what changes would make and what influenced the changes?

I have updated my list once again. Ike has underwent some major changes in the 1.0.8. update. Something that has not happened since 1.0.4.

This time, there is sure to be placement changes in everyone else's lists. ^-^

S Tier: Among some of the best of their class in the game

F-air
N-air
D-tilt
U-Throw
Jab2
Close Combat
B-air
D-Throw

A Tier: Good options that are useful in many situations

U-air
Jab1
Pivot Grab
Quick Draw
Jab3
Pummel
F-tilt

B Tier: Decent options that are occasionally useful

U-tilt
Dash Attack
Furious Eruption
Eruption
Tempest
U-smash
Dash Grab
B-Throw
Aether
Aether Wave
Aether Drive
D-air
F-Throw

C Tier: Niche moves that may be used in only specific situations

Counter
Paralyzing Counter
F-smash
Standing Grab
Unyielding Blade
Smash Counter
D-smash

D Tier is for bad moves, but I don't think Ike has anything that's absolutely awful. At least Dsmash kills pretty early if it hits. It's just punishable if it doesn't and lacks enough range.

Ike's buffed moves really went up. Even though utilt received a small buff, it's not as useful since you can trap more easily with aerials. It's still a decent option if the time calls for it, however.

There's way more moves in S than I expected, but I don't consider moving them either.
