I chose him because I know practically nothing about his series, and he's the only one I know, other than Big Boss, who is just too similar to Solid Snake.

grey fox is solid snakes war buddy which he had to kill in Zanzibar (which is now Zimbabwe) for what reason i forget and in metal gear solid twin snake he comes back as a cyborg (how he looks as his support trophy in smash) knowing that snake is the only man who can lay his soal to rest

Well, most of the Metal Gear characters don't really fit in that well with Smash. Using characters who prefer swords over traditional firearms helps a lot when thinking about their conclusion. Also, an acrobatic character like Raiden/Gray Fox would actually play fairly differently than any of the current sword users.

I kind of wanted to put Revolver Ocelot instead, but I'm pretty sure revolvers aren't allowed.

i prefer raiden because nhe kinda grew on me because at first i thought he was too whiny and now he has gotten back to his roots as the cold blooded killer jack the ripper

Yeah, Raiden definitely has that problem going for him. He's arguably the next best rep for his series, but doesn't have anything to do with Nintendo.

Ocelot would be awesome, by the way. Too bad about the rule about firearms.

The ones in red are the ones I fully support, the ones in yellow I semi-support (i.e. I'd kind of like them, but wouldn't be too sad if they didn't make it), the rest I've just put there for the sake of putting someone for the series. I haven't put anyone for the Sonic or Metal Gear series since I don't think they should have second reps since their characters are guest characters. I don't really want Sakurai to simply add characters from existing series, I want him to focus more on adding characters from big Nintendo franchises that have not yet got a playable rep. My dream roster features numerous new series reps, at least 11, but here's my top 5 as per thread rules:

1. Punch Out!!: Little Mac
2. Mii games: Mii
3. Puzzle League: Lip
4. Wars: Andy
5. Animal Crossing: Tom Nook

Aside from Super Smash Bros itself, I feel those 5 series are the biggest Nintendo franchises left without playable reps.

Let's be honest: Waluigi is clearly a derivation of Wario. He was created by Camelot for Mario Tennis specifically so Wario could have a playing partner. He doesn't have to be from a Wario Land/Warioware game to be considered part of Wario's line. It's never been stated that they're brothers, and yet everyone assumes it.

... and it's not like anybody actually has options when choosing from Pikmin.

Fair enough. For whatever reason though, when I hear things like "Mario Party" I don't really think of it as a Mario game so much as a game in the Mario universe...
I guess, in the end, I feel like Waluigi represents sports/party games more than he represents Mario or Wario. I just think it's not unreasonable for people to say that he's a Wario character... I mean, if Waluigi gets in the game, it's super likely that he'll share Wario's "W" symbol.

Right- I should've been more specific about my Pikmin statement. There are other characters, but they literally play just like Captain Olimar, right? Reasonably speaking, they're much more likely to be alternate costumes than to be considered candidates for a new separate character. So, I feel like him saying he'd want a bulbin isn't that weird, considering how few character options the game has.
