I need some assistance with making my build.

I am making a Project M + Ex build (Easy to say) and I understand how to do the costumes, stages, characters, etc.

However... I need assistance with a few things.

1. I need to know how to change attributes for the characters, (Because they're clones, so I want to make a faster but weaker version of a certain character or something) so can someone link me or guide me on how to change them? I know you have to use Brawlbox, but I'm hesitant in case I screw up something.

2. This maybe a strange request, but I need to make recolors of the CSPs I have. I am using GIMP and I am confused on how to recolor those.

The best I can suggest with #2 is ALM5252's video part 2 of his tutorial to making your PM build. He does a GIMP recolor and I'm sure you can see how it's demonstrated here some 2 minutes in:
