How to use Charizard's Final Smash?

How the hell do you use Charizard's FS (Megazard X) effectively? I got it a couple of times against CPU opponents and was constantly chasing them around the stage while they just ran away and I whiffed all my attacks.

I agree it is a little awkward and playing online with that occasional lag doesn't help. Hehe I even had to turn on the smash ball after looking like a tard after getting it in a Team Smash ( I prefer items off). You can shoot fire balls and fire blitz. Just be patient and wait for the right time, it lasts a good amount of time.
