How much does the Wii signal contribute to lag?

I have cable and it's fast, so that isn't the problem. I use D-Link DI-624 Wireless Router. It's in my room and I will be playing my Wii in the room farthest away from this room. (Other room = parent's, living room = broken HDTV which is there for decoration now) With a laptop, it's usually in the orange color. Does that mean I'll be experiencing lag? Would having Green Signal lag less than orange signal or does the signal not matter unless it's red?

I can't really think of a reason to get better signal since I don't have a TV in this room.
