yes the FIXED code works and is in the OP

CG explaination:

The reason CG's happen is because of the right amount of hitstun but not enough knockback, but with increased hitstun, the knockback can be DI'ed better now

I wonder, will the addition of hitstun compensate for the loss of Falco and D3's chaingrab? For Falco maybe, but for D3 I'm unsure.

Definitely. I think stringing together other move will be better for dealing more damage and such than the CG. They were stupid anyway because they were so simple and you control it unlike where melee's took skill. Idk why ppl would rather win with gay tactics anymore now that you have better options

Without chaingrabs DDD is wrecked.
I seriously doubt it

Okay this code with Hitstun 1.3 is amazing. I've only tried the second variable that PW and I think it might be a little too much but **** if it isn't awesome.

I suggest that everyone try these codes together: Histun 1.3, Hitstun 4.0 with PW second variable, L-canceling, No tripping, Gravity modifier 1.175 and Damage ratio 1.0625. It's fantastic. The training mode combo counter even registers these new combos. I did an 18 hit 0-death combo on a lvl 9 Fox in training mode set to attack. Now it obviously could have been avoided with better DI but it felt **** good doing it. D-throw>Dair>Utilt>Dair>Utilt>Dair>Utilt>Uair.

Falco's Utilt is new pillar lol.

Okay maybe I was exaggerating but he does lose a great deal of his metagame and good matchups.
Well i think his CG was just a small part and it was very helpful before since comboing didnt exist. Now that we can combo, I wonder what better things DDD can do. But it will be a little change. Think about it this way, he will have to tech chase now in certain situations!

i think adding anything else except for hitstun, tripping, and s-canceling is just unnecessary,

I hope nothing is broken about this code cus im hoping to run a tourney with these codes i mentioned.

and do these codes work online if the other person has the exact same ones too?

EDIT: OMFG, AUTO L-Cancel is gonna make GANON, IKE, SNAKE, BOWSER, OMFG I CANT EVEN THINK OF THE AMAZING STUFF U COULD DO

EDIT2: Does this Auto-Cancel thing halve the lag or does it cancel all?

The auto cancel code is invalid atm. I just told PW. noone has tested anything. The hitstun is fine, tell ppl that all throws put knock ppl down. You should change the bold to the first option in the quote 3F0

That line of code looks obviously messed up. You should probably make a new thread for testing and discussion when it's fixed.

Just for those of you who haven't clued in yet. You don't need to have hitstun 3.0 on if you have 4.0 on - everything in 3.0 is included in 4.0...

Does this code also affect shieldstun? I would presume not. I think that would be a good next step - that, or increasing shield decay. <3 PW though.

Has anybody been experimenting with different hitstun variables?

Out of the two that PW gave us I find the first one more reasonable. The second one is quite literally Smash 64 levels of hitstun.

i think the first is ok but like PW said we need a variable in btween

say 1st = 1, and 2nd = 2

we need like 1.25 or somewhere around there

Can't wait until shieldstun is out. Hitstun is nice, but shieldstun has to be included too haha.

Though we have to find some way to keep MK's low, so that his shield pressure game doesn't get too good. fair dtilt machnado >_>

EDIT: D3 should still be great with this, if not better. SHFFL dair leads into everything except fsmash/dsmash/dB/uB, and dthrow probably sets up for tech chases, from what I understand. Utilt might be able to combo into itself. Then you have more SH(FF)L aerial antics, especially with uair and dair.

Alright now that we have a hitstun modifier code here's the stuff we need to make Brawl+ a very exciting looking game:

-Momentum modifier (As in be able to run/jump faster and farther)

-1.5x gravity affects falls, fast falls, and short hops.

-Normal gravity affects jump, 2nd jump, and recovery.

-Reduce the range of auto-ledge snapping.

-Disable fast falled Dairs (cstick) when falling.

-crouch cancel into any move while dashing

i think brawl+ perfect without those things, maybe just the momentum thing but thats about it,

ive noticed witht this new hitstun, alot more CG's are possible but they can also be DI'ed out of, and CAPTAIN FALCON CAN D-THROW>U-AIR>U-AIR>KNEEEEEEEEEEEE

we shouldn't make this game EXACTLY like melee, just change the stuff that sucks.

Ummm I just did...Brawl is slow and floaty, people find that boring and it sucks...


Gravity and momentum will increase the speed of the game.

Fast falled C-stick Dairs are very stupid and limits edgeguarding and comboing capability...

crouch cancel into any move is not that big of a deal.

Wow, we was just on 1.3 when i went to work and now look at how far yah have come. Good work guys and special thnx to PW.

Now, let me get this right, i take the code on the first page, change the bolded part to 3F0 and thats it?
