Well Hello!
Im new to all of this forum stuff but, here it goes.
I started playing Super Smash Bros last month. I have a 3DS with SSB4. I main Fox, but also play Falco, Kirby, and Falcon. I had some questions. If i wanted to play this game competitively would need to buy the Wii U version or I'm i good with the 3DS version. Is their any other things that i need to accomplish before competing?

Welcome! You don't really need the Wii U version, unless you're a die-hard fan of those boring and outdated GameCube controllers. In the end, it's up to you.

Welcome to the boards! As for your question, there are tournaments for the 3DS version, but the Wii U version has a larger competitive scene.
