Greninja General Discussion Thread - The Coolest Pokémon Ever Is Now Confirmed!

This would be awesome. While playing Pokemon Y, I actually thought how awesome it would be if he was in Smash Bros, and made a moveset.

B: Water Shuriken
Rapidly shoots shurikens. Automatically aims. Doesn't cause flinching, though.
Side B: Dark Pulse
Shoots a burst of dark energy forward.
Up B: Bounce
Jumps upward. Does damage.
Down B: Mat Block
Counter move. Very powerful, but you can hit it through the back.
Final Smash: Protean
Jumps to the top of the screen and shoots bursts of elemental energy down like PK Starstorm, but they come directly from Greninja. 18 bursts, one of each type.

I adore this Pokemon, but I can't see GameFreak letting Sakurai give special treatment to one of the starters and snub the other two, even if Greninja is vastly superior.

If you ask me, Sceptile/Blaziken's chances just skyrocketed.

Sceptile because we're missing a Grass Type, and Blaziken because Sakurai may be going for 1 rep per Gen (ignoring veteran Pikachu).

Sceptile has a better chance than Blaziken now, though, if you ask me.

Didn't you listen? Transformation characters don't exist anymore, so Sheik, Zero Suit Samus and Charizard (and probably Squirtle and Ivysaur too) are solo characters.

Charizard is the most popular Gen 1 starter, or at least The Pokemon Company thinks so.

Greninja is in a similar boat as a very popular Gen 6 starter. While it would have been nice to have a Kalos Pokemon Trainer, it's pretty apparent that Greninja is the most popular of the three. Greninja's only competition from other Gen 6 pokemon in terms of being an icon is Sylveon, or at least I think so.

Palutena being teased has been going on since the very convincing "leak" images that have yet to be debunked. He almost reconfirmed her with the trophy quiz, but it was Pseudo-Palutena all along. He knows we want her, and he's going to troll us until the time is right.

I love Greninja, but.. I guess I'll just have to get used to him.
