Grabbing Frostbite

Ive seen in the IC FROSTBITE VID he grabs and then nana frostbites him...i can grab and frostbite him with nana but when i do B-Down to do the frostbite, Popo throws him down ??? how do u do it?

press down-b while popo is doing his grab attack (so grab, press A, then press down-b not long after A)
