gaining insane momentum

I was playing as captain falcon on smashville against olimar and jumped and used a falcon punch (no reversal) and gained some distance that probably shouldnt have been there, i had items off as well.

that's a brawl AT called 'wave bouncing'. it's just a b reverse but you retain your momentum in the other direction

but i was moving foward the entire time this happened and about midway through the animation is when i started gaining momentum?

well turns out i deleted the wrong replay but something happened in another, i falcon punched a changed directions while gaining slight momentum but i think it was wavebouncing this time. Sorry about the replay though :/

*B-reversing

Unless you reversed your momentum and still was facing forward/the way you were running, then it was a wavebounce.

this one is b-reversal for sure so no glitch here but the first time was different as i only went forward
