Foreign Smash Editions and Online Play

Hi guys,

Just have a quick question. If I buy an Australian 3DS, then I will need to get the Australian version of smash. However, if I bring this setup to the states and play online, which servers will I have access to? Or, is smash online based on international servers, where the "nationality" of the game doesn't matter.
