Fair warning, I'm at work and will be during the Direct as well, so my ability to help back up any claims will be on hold.

this makes me sad :( our character has flaws that no one cares to learn about and nothing ever is done about them......even for lesser used characters like mega man and jigglypuff who need buffs :/

Nothing seems different to me.
Well we'll have to wait for the moderator to update the patch for sonic and see if there are buffs or nerfs. Hey wanna see my guide? i made my own first guide for sonic for beginners to medium level. Do you mind reading it if they're good???

I have finals, so I probably won't have a lot of time to check out Sonic. Also I'm really liking Cloud right now and might help out with their forums.

Yeah i dont see anything different oh well :/
I wondered why they removed homing attack mechanic when you can use homing attack again after homing attack is successfully hitting someone without landing on the ground

It's been like that since launch.

I took the liberty of going through all of Sonic's moves, and all of them have the same startup and end lag.
We can probably close this...

Hey guys! Have anyone tested on sonic's forward smash?? Well can sonic kill any characters that are at the stage's edge at like 90%-100% using forward smash without charging or higher before 1.1.3 is updated? I can kill mario when he is at 100% at the stage's edge. Do you think this version increase fsmash knockback or is it the same as previous versions?

That would've been revealed in the datamine. None of his KB has been changed.

I will wait until the testing for Sonic is near 100% in the patch notes thread.

I think they tweaked the u-air's frame data in the patch. Not in a bad way, but a way that it can benefit from a-landing a lot better. Essentially before the patch, I always had trouble a-landing properly with the u-air. But here, either the frame data was incorrect, or they gave it more time for it to cancel. And it must be a lot more time, because when I a-landed with it, it made the same sound that it makes when the first hitbox activates. Maybe it's due to incorrect frame data, but before the patch, I know for a fact that attempting to a-land with it was super strict in terms of timing, because when I tried a-landing with it before, Sonic would go into the landing lag phase of the first hit.

I don't understand why this is here...
What is there not to understand?

With every patch, we make a thread dedicated to dissecting it. It serves as our patch notes.

Just because we happen to go one patch without any immediately recognizable, or possibly any changes at all, doesn't serve a thread useless. Even besides serving as a changelog, if it weren't for this thread, I'd have to deal with people asking in every other thread "Did Sonic get nerfed? I think his Bair kills later now... It feels different" which is easily avoidable when I can redirect that discussion here.

I believe before the patch the A-Landing was frame 1-4? I just remember Sonic's most lenient window being 4 frames and the strictest being 2. Do you have anyway to perhaps back this theory?

How I could potentially back this up is pre-patch I could never a-land with any of Sonic's aerials (or at least it was super difficult for me). I'm not really 100% if they tweaked the u-air to be honest, but either way, in the rare chances I was able to a-land with any of Sonic's aerials I definitely don't recall hearing the hitbox come out of the move, but pre-patch I mostly attempted with f-air and b-air.

However, I'll have to go back to the lab and see when you can hear the hitbox coming out of the move. Unfortunately i can't do that today because my sister is having yet another one of her parties that she hosts all the time.

Thinkaman confirmed that their datamining is completed.

As such, I will be closing this thread.

No changes.
