A new place to play is finally here. A new kind of arcade is going to take San Antonio by storm. To celebrate our grand opening, we will have:
Free Food (pizza and burgers)
Free Drinks (soda and draft beer)
Character Artist
ALL of our games on freeplay the ENTIRE day. That's right, it's a totally free event! But wait, there's more! What's an arcade without KILLER tournaments?
< Schedule >
12:00 PM - Venue Opens, so that's the earliest you can show up!
2:00 PM - Tekken Tag Tournament 2
3:30 PM - Super Smash Bros Melee Doubles
6:00 PM - Cosplay Parade
7:00 PM - KI, SSFIV AE, UMVC3, SSBM Singles

Venue Fee: $5 per person (required from all entrants)
Melee Singles: $10 per person
Melee Doubles: $10 per Team
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: $10 per person
Killer Instinct: $10 per person
Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition $10 per person
Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3: $10 per person


The tournament is open to anyone and everyone! Just show up to the venue on the day of the tournament and bring the following.

What to Bring:
1. Enough cash for the events you wish to enter (see the prices above)
2. Your own controller (There are Sticks for rent, Melee is you mush bring your own GameCube Controller)


< Prizes >
Each event is guaranteed pot of $300. If the individual event doesn't get 30 entrants, Ultra Arcade will cover the difference!
Prizes for each individual event are distributed from the money pot as follows:

1st: 70%
2nd: 20%
3rd: 10%

< Rules >
Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition 2012 Ruleset:
  • Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition 2012 will take place on the Xbox 360 console.
  • One match is best of 3 games.
  • One game is best of 3, 99-second rounds.
  • Finals matches are best of 5 games.
  • Winner must select the same character and ultra, loser may switch.
  • Blind select is available by request.
  • Programmable controllers and/or turbo functions are banned, and if a player is found using any such function will immediately forfeit the game.
  • Pausing a game will result in forfeit of that round unless the opponent chooses to waive this option.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Ruleset:
  • Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will take place on Xbox 360 console.
  • Matches are the best of 5 games.
  • One game is best of 3, 99-second rounds.
  • After a game has concluded, winner must stick with same team and order for the next game.
  • Loser has option of switching team and order and also taking player side of choice.
  • Game breaking glitches are banned.
  • Galactus is banned.
  • Turbo button features are NOT allowed.
  • Pausing a game will result in forfeit of that round unless the opponent chooses to waive this option.
  • Tournament is double elimination.
Killer Instinct Ruleset:
  • Killer Instinct will take place on the Xbox One console.
  • One match is best of 3 games.
  • One game is best of 3, 99-second rounds.
  • Finals are best of 5 games.
  • Winner must select the same character and ultra, loser may switch.
  • Blind select is available by request.
  • Programmable controllers and/or turbo functions are banned, and if a player is found using any such function will immediately forfeit the game.
  • Pausing a game will result in forfeit of that round unless the opponent chooses to waive this option.
Melee Ruleset:
  • 4 stock, 8:00 minute timer
  • Items OFF
  • Pause OFF (Otherwise pausing will cost the offender of a mid match pause a stock at his or her opponent's digression)
  • All sets are best 2 out of 3, except finals which are best 3 out of 5.
  • Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks, then by percentage
  • Master Hand is banned.
  • Wobbling is not banned.
  • Stalling a match is not allowed (such as wall-jumping under Battlefield), but recovery tactics such as Peach's Wall-Bombing, and Jigglypuff's Rising Pound are allowed.
  • Glitches such as Ice Climbers's Freeze Glitch and Mewtwo's Soul Stunner are banned.
  • You cannot counterpick any stage you have won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
  • Players may elect to double blind pick their characters for the first match in case of any disputes.
  • If a match ends with both players dying at the exact same time resulting in Sudden Death, a 1-stock, 3:00 minute rematch will be played out on the same stage.
  • Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in forfeiture of the match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.
  • Performance altering controller modifications(Turbo/Macro buttons) are not allowed.

Stage Strike from Neutrals for the first match of the set in "1221" fashion:
1. First player strikes one stage.
2. Second player strikes the next two stages.
3. First player strikes one stage.
4. Players play on remaining stage.

After each match:
1. Winner announces a stage ban (except in best-of-5 sets), this ban lasts for 1 round.
2. Loser chooses counterpick stage
3. Winner chooses their character
4. Loser chooses their character

Code of Conduct:
  • All ejections or disqualifications due to violations of the Code of Conduct or individual game rules will be without refund.
  • No fighting or weaponry inside the venue. Throwing controllers or acting in a way that could pose a danger to other players will result in disqualification from the event and eviction from the venue.
  • No refusal to play on certain TVs or setups will be tolerated barring extreme circumstances. All players agree to have their matches recorded if requested by the TO.
  • Be on time to your match. You have 5 minutes from when it's called to be at your station or you forfeit the first game. If you are 10 minutes late you forfeit the match and are either out or in losers.

Cool, If you guys would rather wait until the next day to drive back I can house you for the night. I actually have some better accommodations this time.

Just noticing the schedule says that Singles won't start til 7pm. In that case, I'd like to confirm housing for us that night. It will be myself, JF, and Arc. Thanks so much.
