f-smash FC question

Many good peach players use the f-air fast fall(while doing the attack) to float cancel. I am having trouble getting the timing down right. I have been pressing over A to do the forward smash instead of using the c-stick. Is this part of the problem?

If I got what u said, what you meant was forward air (aka fair) and not fsmash...

For fairs, I always use the A button. Just wait that the attack comes out before fastfalling.

anyway, practice makes perfect mate. you know what it should look like, keep at it. I usualy use the z button for areals, it just seems more natual to me.

The timing has nothing to do with pressing the wrong button. If you are more comfortable with using A for aerials, do that. Your timing is off because you're timing it wrong, not because of the button you press. I use A for f-airs myself.

Im using the control stick for the fairs* and Its working pretty well. I just wanted to see what everybody else did.
