What is the feasibility of the next iteration of Project M theoretically possessing a double blind character selection feature accessible from the character select screen? The idea would be something along the lines of pressing an indicator button/buttons at the character selection screen (perhaps one of the shoulder buttons), followed by a short button combination sequence that corresponds to a specific character. At the end of the unique character-specific sequence input, the player would then press start to lock in their selection and both characters would be selected once both players have pressed start (or optionally the player could press b to clear their character selection instead of pressing start to confirm their selection). It probably wouldn't be too hard to assign a button sequence for each of the 41 characters and would eliminate the need for a third party to confirm double blind character selections.
I'm just curious as to how feasible a feature like this would be from a developer's standpoint. Sure, you could just circumvent this by using a third party, but I was just curious and thought this would be an interesting concept if it were actually a feature. The only other mentions of this concept (or something similar) I could find were from the comments of this year old thread from the PM subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/SSBPM/comments/2dt08a/double_blind_first_match/
