Does dashdancing kill controllers?

I mean, all that rapid stick motion. Does that end up destroying the analog stick?

I want to learn and use dashdancing in my game, but I don't want to have to go and buy new controllers every month.

I've been ******* around with it since the GC came out and my control stick is still in perfect shape.
I just need to clean it once in a while to get back the grip lol.

in my years of heavy dash dancing in melee (thanks fox!), my (original) controller is fine. However, you might have to be careful with 3rd party ones.

Unless you're playing for money, I'd advise against it seeing as dashdancing is significantly less useful in Brawl. Even official GC controllers can peel off on the analog stick (happened to two of mine) and DDing will halve their lifespan if used excessively.

I mained Marth in Melee, lots of DD, and my controller is perfect. Don't worry, GC controllers are tough ****.
