when i was just starting to play like in gold i would try to catch boy pokemon always. my friends have told me that girl pokemon can sometimes be weaker wich they proved to me in pokemon battle. later i learned it was cuz of ivs and others stuff so now i catch on nature and ability lol

I'll soft reset as many times as needed to get the female starters. Since no one else I know cares about the gender of the starter, I can get eggs and such.
